How did you meet your SO?

We met at a party. I was out with some friends and he was out with his. We exchanged numbers after having danced together a couple of times. I had no intentions of calling him. It was dark and I could barely see him + I was out to have fun, not meet a man.

The next day he texted me and we started to talk. I was reluctant to keep texting him because I did not know what he looked like, but he was so sweet and interesting. honestly I just remembered him having really nice, white teeth (LOL). A couple of weeks later, he asked me out and I agreed. We met up and the rest is history. We've been together for 3+ years and have been married for 2+ years. We had our first baby, a girl, in Jan 2016, and had our second baby, a boy in May 2017. He's my best friend and the love of my life. He is also an amazing father to our babies. I am blessed!

Well my story is very different but I'm a transparent person and will share it anyways.

When I met my husband now-I was married and miserable. My ex husband and I had moved provinces to start over and try to make a life together that was half good. We rented a large house that had four extra bedrooms. We rented those rooms out to three students and a working man (my husband now). We all became good friends together. My relationship with my husband (ex) had grew worse and we began having financial issues worse then before, his parents followed us to where we moved and that drove a wedge between him and I once again, the fighting got worse-we decided to end it and he moved out with his daughter and headed back home and I stayed trying to manage this large house with my daughter. Things just kept falling apart. My relationship with this working man grew into a great friendship. I had never had a guy for a friend. We would talk and talk for hours. In areas where I couldn't take care of things, he would manage. I began falling in love with him but never told him because we were supposed to just remain friends who could support one another cause neither of us had family and we were living far from anyone. We just had each other. I told him I needed to move out because I couldn't keep up with the bills of this large house. All the students moved out. He had started the wood stove and we sat and talked. He was a man always taking care of things and I never had that in my life. I felt cared for. So we were talking about moving as friends to a smaller place and helping supporting one another financially until we moved on to our own path. I said to him, "how do two people who are so much alike, move in together and not fall in love.." and he just stared at me and we just basically connected that night and realized we loved each other all along and cared for each other. We have been together and married now 8 years-three wonderful children later-blessed, faithful and committed to one another-growing as a family and with each day we grow more in love honestly learning to really love and lay our lives down for each other. He is the greatest things that's happened in my life. I've had a lot of hard and painful situations in my past and being with him and having him truly love me has helped heal me of my past hurts. ❤️

We swiped right on a Muslim marriage/dating app! We FaceTimed for two months and he came to California to visit me with the intention that if we liked each other we would get married (crazy I know) this was Christmas 2015. He arrived on Christmas. Met my family same day. The next day we told our moms we were ready. I came to Detroit to visit him Valentine's Day 2016 and that's when I got my ring. ? We were married on Mothers Day 2016. And here we are! I guess as they when you know you know!

I have always been into online MMORPGs (World of Warcraft mainly), but I stopped playing when I met DS1s dad. After my divorce from him I met a guy who played it and he convinced me to start playing again. Now for those not familar, WoW is a multiplayer game so you are playing real time with real people. My bf at the time starts getting distant so I was left alone in the game... Luckily in the guild we were in was a really awesome guy who always helped me out when I needed it. We talked alot in and out of the game and became fast friends. Sure enough, BF broke up with me and quit the game however I kept playing. Mine and DHs friendship only grew and but much as he liked me there were several reasons I would date him.. 1. He lives 1000 miles away in Alabama 2. He was only 20 still living at home, never had a girlfriend.. I was 29 with a 5 year old. He was persistent though. After 8 months of listening to me cry about bad date after bad date he had enough.. All he wanted was the chance to meet me, if after we met I wasn't feeling it he he would be fine being friends.

In April of 2011 he spent all of his savings to come visit for 3 days... I hate to say it but the second he got out of the Taxi and hugged me I was in love.

He met my son before leaving and they too had an instant connection, which for anyone who knows a child in the spectrum they know most of them don't connect to people easy. When he had to go back home I was heartbroken cause we didn't know when we would see each other again... then 3 weeks later he called me with a surprise... He sold some stuff and made enough for a ONE WAY PLANE TICKET!! He moved up in June 2011 with nothing but a duffel bag of clothes, his computer, and Xbox.

After all this time I still love him as much as I did the second he stepped out of that taxi. In 2013 he finally convinced me to marry him and after almost 5 years of trying (we tried for baby before getting married cause my divorce took a while to finalize) we finally got our baby and our family is complete.

Goes to show you kinda like Maddz doesn't matter how far away someone is- if it's right it's right! And after all this time you got your miracle your Damien (heehee DH even let you use the name you always wanted)!

Oh and fun fact... My username Suzicidal is actually the name of my main World of Warcraft character. It's the one he met me on. The first gift he got me was a necklace that said to Suzi Love Divi (his name was DivinexArrow).

We met in college and were part of the same business fraternity. We were not really friends and we were in long term relationships with other people. I thought he was funny and gave the president a hard time ( his roommate) so I thought he was kind of a jerk. After graduation I moved to Houston for 6 months of training and moved to Indianapolis after that. I didn't have any friends or family so I started hangout with anyone I knew. We both had our previous relationships end so we started doing things together and decided to start dating. He made sure to tell me he didn't want anything serious and I wasn't sure if I had those kind of feelings for him. We moved in together within the year and got married a year and a half after that. We've been together 8 years, married for almost 6 with 2 little ones and 2 dogs. He's my complete opposite but we have a lot of similar interests. He ended up being the sweetest person I've ever met, and I still like to give him crap about not getting too serious. ?

I met SO 8 years ago this coming July 4th weekend. I went to an old college friend's shore house for a party that weekend. SO and my friend grew up together so he was three too. We met that weekend. He had a great personality and sense of humor and we kind of just clicked from the beginning. He had taken the train down the shore and was planning on taking it home too. He lived 20 minutes past my apartment at the time so I offered to drive him home instead of taking the train. We spent 2 hours in the car alone together just chatting away. Went on a breakfast date the following weekend on my way to a friend's wedding out of state but met up again on my way back home. We have been together ever since. There have been plenty of bumps in our relationship but we have always stuck through it together.

We met 5 and a bit years ago online lol my friend made me an account because she thought i needed a man and I went to go delete my account and thats when I saw the message from him so I said what the heck and we started talking and we went on a date 2 weeks later and we just clicked and here we are with our 4 week old baby girl

I met my DH when we were both freshmen in High School. We were both NOT attracted to each other but became friends. We weren't close or anything but would talk when we saw each other.

After high school, he went to basic training and I went to a community college. Two years later, he was in a class with my best friend and they hung out a lot. She gave me his phone# and told me to call him to hang out. I called him and started to spend time together as friends. Ended up liking each other and made it official.

We were together for 11 years before I got pregnant with my son. Got married 2012 while I was pregnant to get health insurance ?. Had a court house marriage. I told my immediate family but his family knows nothing of our marriage. All our friends keep asking when we will tie the knot, little do they know, we are already married. I used to want to be married so bad and have a wedding and was jealous of all our friends getting married. Now, I really have no desire to actually have a real wedding. I feel like we should spend the money on the kids or getting a bigger place. We didn't expect to end up having 3 kids in 4 years!

Well hubs and I was both previously married. Both not so good situation and in middle of divorces. We are both from the same hometown but he's 5 years older so I didn't know him. I worked in the Fulton county jail in Atlanta and coming home one day - speeding of course he pulled me over. It kinda went on from there. Luckily he didn't issue me a ticket! Win win! 3 years later here we are with a little prince and now a princess!

Oh I miss California soooo much but I don't miss the traffic and the expenses. We're taking Zaman back this summer to spend time with his grandma! So excited.
