So I live in a trailer park. We just bought our trailer a year ago. So we just found out they haven't paid the water bill since July. We pay them every month for the water bill on top of our rent. They are supposed to pay the company. Well I guess they think they are being overcharged so they have refused to pay the bill. Now they are suing the water company but since they didn't pay the stopped picking up our trash and if they don't pay it by the 12th of next month they will shut the water off through the park and everyone will be forced to leave their homes. I'm so upset because we pay our bills every month and they didn't pay their bill so now the whole park suffers. We had finally gotten cars and gotten more financially stable and I honestly have no clue what we will do if we are forced to leave. We can't afford to move our trailer and we can't afford to get another place. I already paid my lot rent ahead. Guess I just wanted to vent about it.

The article I read says that trash pick up will resume today and that they believe the owners and Mishawaka utilities will come to an agreement before the deadline of April 12th. I hope this is all solved before then so you don't lose water. Chances are after it making the local news, the owners will pony up the dough...and fast!
Eta: Pp that is a very nice gesture, however you can't just hitch up a 70 or 80 ft. mobile home and move it down the highway. You have to get permits and there are regulations. There is a limit on how old the home can be for it to be moved. I believe anything older than a 1984 isn't allowed to be moved at all.
Wow. Greedy, unethical out-of-area owners are willing to displace senior citizens and families to nickel and dime the Utility company. The utility company obviously has had no luck collecting and has to threaten shut off to get the owners to do something. I hope those owners get sued.

Yeah. Yup they did screw us over. Unfortunately until the water gets shut off I dont think I can leave. We have a contract tasting we can't move our trailer for 3 years. But i think if the water gets shut off it will make it easier for us to get out of that contract. And yes. That's exactly what I thought, things. Are getting so good and. Something had to pop up. Always. But I'm sure it will get figured out. I don't know if they are stealing the money or not. But I'm going to hope that it is put in an account somewhere.
Put on a Facebook bst page you're looking to have a trailer moved. You might be able to get a deal from someone with the ability to do it on the side rather than a company.
My husband's sister bought a trailer and my fil moved it with his tractor ? another option might be going after the management to pay to have you moved, definitely worth talking to a lawyer about.
Oh no that’s a crappy thing to do. I remember u and remember some of your struggles. Of course something like this would happy once you’re on your feet!! Ugh so frustrating for u!! I’m aware of that, that’s why I said maybe. My husband is a project manager for a construction company. They have to do things like that all the time.
