so i am 38 weeks 5 days pregnant and ive been leaking colostrum for months but its a lot now. i woke up to a wet spot on my bed this morning. i decided to express a week ago and got half an ounce. I expressed this morning to relieve them a little because they were leaking and felt so full. well i squeezed and there was so much and everytime i squeezed i had 3 or 4 streams come at a time and it was like a steady stream for maybe 3 seconds. is this a good sign for breastfeeding? also could this be a sign that the baby will be coming soon. its also my second child so could that be why i have so much?

All of those answers are unknown. Most breastfeeding issues are not supply (even though moms think that) and over supply can be as bad as "under supply." A lot of moms simply aren't educated how how and what's normal with breastfeeding and unintentionally cause a low supply themselves, although they perceive it the other way around. I would leave it alone now as much as possible. Tenderness and swelling is normal. Removing the milk can cause contractions and if your body isn't going into labor you will just get painful contractions and no baby.
