I need help.
Its past midnight and my son wont sleep. theres nothing wrong with him he just wants to play. I am so tired and frustrated at this point. I am 38 weeks pregnant and my whole body sleeps. i barely get any sleep because i am constantly tossing and turning and moving because i cant lay in one position for long because my hips shoulders and back hurt so badly. and just as i start to finally fall asleep hes awake and screaming. what can i do to put him to sleep ive tried everything i know.
yeah it does suck. normally i can get through it but its so hard for me to sleep lately. its effecting me emotionally.
he doesnt like any light when he sleeps. i had rocked him to sleep but the second i move hes awake. he wont sleep in bed with me (which honestly i dont mind) he only sleeps in his crib. and for some reason warm baths dont work on him. and so this whole sleep issue has to do with him just turning one? im going to try to give him another bottle and put him down. i let him play for a while to see if it would wear him out some and he seems a little tired so im hoping he goes to sleep.
I looked and see he just turned one. I remember my sons both slept horribly right after their first birthdays. It was so tough on me. I wanted to just lock myself in my room and let them cry, but I didn't. Can you give him a warm bath? Read him some books? Let him sleep in bed with you? Turn on a white noise machine? Turn on a nightlight? Sing to him until he falls asleep?
I know it's tough, and being 38 weeks pregnant makes it so much harder. Hang in there. ❤️ It'll get easier.
hes 12 months old and he went to bed around 7/7:30 which is his normal bedtime. he napped around 12 which is normal. its just this week hes been not sleeping well.
Put a show on your phone or tablet and lay him in bed next to you. At the least you can doze or rest and he will fall asleep.
Do you have lavender essential oils? Rub it on his temples. It helps to calm.
He may be going through a leap. 12-18 months is big developmental times for them. They are learning to walk and learning to talk and it affects their sleep.
well thank you. i hope it doesnt last too much longer. i put him down again and he seems like he may go to sleep so im hoping he does. anyone have any suggestions on what to do for my joint and muscle pain. its constant through the day now. ive just dealt with it because i dont know what to do but the past 2 weeks its been way worse. is that a sign the baby will come soon?
