I cut baby's finger!

I was clipping dd's fingernails and cut her thumb accidentally. It won't stop bleeding and she and I were both crying. She's finally calmed down but I'm still really upset with myself. I got a band aid on it and hope it will stop bleeding soon. She has blood all over her little hands and I feel so bad. This never happened with my first so I'm freaking out a little. Any words of advice to get it to stop bleeding??

Try doing it when they are sleeping so they aren't moving their hands around or use a nail file.

I cut my son too, felt awful! The nail and skin is still fused when they're young. Agree with pp a nail file all the way! The nails are so soft they literally just flake away with one or two swipes.

When I was a baby my mom clipped part of my toe when clipping my nails. She still won't cut anyone's nails now ahaha

Im Too nervous to clip my sons, I just bite them.

The hospital told me to only file the nails not to cut cause they are still paper thin.

Just put pressure on it. I did the same thing to my baby girl a week ago. She cried I freaked out, and she stopped crying after a few minutes and that was that. It happens :)

Yea I agree with pp I use baby nail files I bought at babies r us for like $2 for 10. They do a good job. Try those. Don't beat yourself up about it mommy. It's just a lesson learned. It's ok.

They told me use a nail file and not clippers or scissors . I would've def used clippers and not thought twice otherwise

Things happen! I've been using nail scissors and they seem to be much easier than clippers.

& pressure usually stops the bleeding .

Oh I can imagine the guilt ! I would feel so bad too but accidents happen . I'd try to cut their nails when they're sleeping so they won't move so much , maybe just pull away at the most .

I've done this to 2/3 of my children. Things happen. Try not to beat yourself up over it.

3 month old bleeding monthly

3 month old bleeding monthly So I have no clue if this is normal or if I should be worried. Of course I am a little worried anyways but my 3 month old baby girl has had pink blood in her diaper atleast one day each month. It's like a little pink streak. I know her bleeding that first month is normal but every month? It's like she has a mini period/spotting. I would call her doctor but the only working phone we own is my husbands and he's at work. This is the 3rd month it's happened and I'm a little worried. Any advice or information would be appreciated. She doesn't seem fussy or like she's hurting. Her little breasts have are swollen again too (they feel like a little hard lump)

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
