Dark spot corrector
What is your favorite dark spot corrector for your face? My lack of sunscreen over the years is catching up to me. I don't want to spend a ton of money especially if it won't work!
@bxmix Dark spot corrector will not work on freckles. It works on skin blemishes and defects but freckles are concentrated spots of melanin so they would naturally reproduce unless you had some more permanent type of skin therapy. Your best bet is to lighten them by using sunscreen 100% of the time.
I've loved and used the Clinque Dark Spot Corrector for so long but it can be quite pricey. When my husband and I decided to live off of one income I started to look into more natural and cost-effective alternatives. After some Googling and Pinterest-ing, I've tried two products so far with great results!
I'm currently using apple cider vinegar as a toner and (aside from the smell) I love it just the same! It's made a signifigant difference in the tone and texture of my skin. Just make sure you use an apple cider vinegar with the "mother" still inside. Braggs makes a great one and its easily accessible at most grocery stores. Also, if you have dry skin, start out by cutting it with a little bit of water so that you don't dry out your face.
I've also just sliced a lemon in half and massaged it on my face in small circular motions, let it sit for a few minutes, and then rinse with warm water. It definitely helps brighten the skin and lighten marks.
With both methods, make sure to moisturize well afterwards.
FYI: My problems mainly come from acne scarring and not sun damage, but these methods are still worth a shot. Hope you find something that works! Sorry that this turned out to be a novel lol!
Ok going to get apple cider vinegar today!
