See if you can find out if yours was made in China. I think it's just laminate and engineered hardwood.

Maybe you can have someone come out and test it for that and then send the results to them and ask for your money back towards new flooring from another company. I'm not sure what that would cost though or if it's even possible.

I was just watching this on 60mins. Hopefully you can get new flooring! That is a scary situation the meters were reading levels so high they thought they were broken!

My step dad is going up there tomorrow since dh and I work all day. He usually gets his way so we'll see what they say. We can't afford to put different flooring in and my poor dh spent all day yesterday installing it.

Maybe they have other flooring without all that crap? Or just ask them to take it all back with a refund (partial or full) if that's possible.

I believe so but I don't want it replaced with the same flooring. Apparently the formaldehyde levels are 100x what is allowed.

I would call and ask. Ask if there's an alternative or a deal they can make with you. Do your floors have a warranty?

The news is saying its not recommended to have this in your home at all. Like it's not just the normal levels of formaldehyde. It's toxic.
