fighting naps
Audrey has started fighting her naps recently. She will be obviously tired and we'll put her in her crib and she'll crawl around, talk, then eventually start crying. We've had to go in and get her pretty much asleep then put her in her crib when she starts crying. At night she puts herself to sleep jus y fine. Does anyone have any ideas or is it just a phase?
I thought about adjusting her schedule but I'm not sure that's the problem. I still have another week of teaching then I'm home with her for the summer so I guess we can try it then if she's still doing this.
My son has been doing the same thing. For about two weeks now. It's such a hassle to get him to sleep. Takes about forty five minutes to get him to sleep. He also goes to bed on his own just fine for bedtime. He's now been up for five hours and is soo tired but will not go to sleep. Good luck!
I hope this is just a phase because my LO has been fighting sleep in general for months. There's always the rare occasion that he'll fall asleep fairly quick and easily, but it's usually a struggle.
I read that it's because he's crawling and just about able to walk, so babies feel like they're going to "miss out" on something, so they don't want to sleep and miss anything, and that they also want to keep doing their newly learned trick!
I've read to just let them cry it out, but I myself find that hard to do...
I'm sorry I have no advice, but I'll bump this so that you & I can both get some answers! Best of luck to you :)

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️

My husband and I aren’t exactly strangers when it comes to relationship challenges 💞. We have been together for 14 years and married for eight, so we’ve definitely gone through some growing pains as we navigated a long-distance relationship in college and our first year living together as a married 👫 couple.
But nothing has challenged our relationship quite like our first year as 👪 parents .
Before you have your first child, you have these grand ideas of what it will be like. There’s more slee...
I thought there was no way he needed to go longer than 2.5 hours, as my oldest was doing 2 hours at this point for his first nap, then 3 hours after first nap and second nap.
He was constantly waking up after the 45 minute mark and just constantly overtired. Since Monday I have been doing 3 hours each. His first nap today was 90 minutes. Even though I swear after 2 hours he's irritable but the 3 hours works. Also sleep consultants say to try something for 3-5 days before deeming it as not working. Good luck, the sleep part of having small kids is beyond frustrating at times!
