Pumping question
I have to pump while I'm at work and when I started back about 6 weeks ago I was getting 4-6 oz every time. Now I'm barely getting 3. I know I'm making enough because I nurse while at home and LO is very content. I pump until nothing is coming out and usually a minute or 2 after. How do I produce more while at work? Is it my pump? I'm worried about taking something and getting an oversupply. I'm having to supplement with formula while she's at daycare and I'd rather not.

How long are you away from baby, and how many times do you pump while your away?
Other factors that could lead to low supply is the return of your period, pregnancy (maybe not your case but doesn't hurt to double check). If its your period, take calcium magnesium pills, they worked so well for me even after my period, I took them everyday like my prenatal vitamins.

I'm away from 7:15-3:15. Usually pump 3 times a day. I did just get my period cause I'm on birth control. I thought it could be that but I'm only have a low supply when at work?

How old is your LO? The pump is not as good as your baby when it comes to emptying your breast.
Here's a good link with some suggestions and tips to pump at work, kellymom has some good info as well. Try the calcium magnesium pills, they worked instantly for me. I took them an hr before I pumped and it cued a difference in my pumping output. My goal was to get 3oz combined which was enough for one pumping session at work and it was just easier to not stress over trying to make more, I am 9hrs away from my DD due to work so I understand how you feel when you don't get enough.

Oh man I had the exact same problem.
-check on kellymom to make sure you're sending the appropriate amount of milk (I was sending too much)
-try to pump as many times as you'd nurse baby, or as many times as baby has bottles (4 bottles = pump at least 4 times).
-pumping won't get you as much milk as nursing. You might have to continue to pump at home or at night.
-pump while you drive!
-supplements: fenugreek, blessed thistle, or a blend like Motherlove special blend

They say baby is much more effective at getting milk out than the pump is, but try a heating pad on your breasts before you pump, it'll get the blood fire going. Lansinoh makes these awesome gel pads that you cab freeze and microwave and they come with little cloth covers I love mine. Plus it helps with discomfort. Other than that all I can say is see how much your baby takes in by bottle feeding and see how much you need to be sending with her

Also pump maintenance! Maybe new tubes, valves, flanges, or the white rubber thing (can't think of the name right now lol) maybe replacing one of them will help?
