Never heard it. The Y in it makes it look feminine. But if it were spelled goldwen/win/wan/won, then it would look more male.

No offense taken. ;) I'm still in love with Saylor. I name my dogs human names that I love, so the fact that it sounds like a "dog name" doesn't bother me. Molly, Max, Maggie, Ellie, etc., are dog names too, and they are still great for human names. Thanks for your comments!!

It really does seem like a name you'd use for a pet rather than a child... But I'd say it's more stereotypically girlish because it's a bit similar to Gwendolyn, I guess.

It makes me think of the movie production company - MGM Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

Hahaha! Guilty! I like to see how many people have named their children the names I love; First and middle. I only found one child with the name Goldwyn. It was a little girl, which is what I like the name for. I wondered if I was the only one who did that. ;)

I literally look at the "Explore" tab when I'm bored to look at the baby posts and look for names haha.

And I bet it was Instagram. I always feel like I find cute/unique names on there that I surprisingly like lol.

I saw it online as a surname, and thought it was kind of cute. I'm glad I'm not the only one. :) I also thought "Goldie" would be a cute NN, but I don't like it on its own. ? the Wyn reminds me of Rowan/Rowyn for a girl which I love. Thanks, Ashlee!

I normally like surnames as first names, but this one seems to be stretching it a little. I like Godwin for a boy but not Goldwin.

I feel like I just heard this name somewhere. I think it was on Instagram. But I kinda like it. Seems more masculine to me. Girl version I think of Goldie. Which I also like.
