Went to the ER
So I'm sitting I waiting room waiting to hear back on blood work. They tried to check with a tummy ultrasound and said they just see a empty sac. I'm 5w6days based on Lmp is that normal for it not to show yet?
I'm starting to think they playing with me with my tax money still waiting😥😒

I had an ultrasound with my last pregnancy at 6 weeks 6 days and all they saw was the sac. Went back 10 days later and we found a heartbeat and a baby.

It can be normal based on when you ovulated.

If it was the ER that did a bedside ultrasound, don’t worry- they are def not experts in that department! (I’m an ER nurse). If OB did the ultrasound then they probably would have told you if they were concerned or not.

I just posted the same thing a few days ago and they only found gestational sac and yolk sac and they are checking my hcg every other day and repeat ultrasound next week and my doc said it could be normal good luck to you and prayers

It’s almost impossible to see with an abdominal us that early. Don’t stress until you have a transvaginal.

It was with a ER bedside ultrasound. My blood work came back in normal level range I believe, said I should get blood work done again in 48 hours but where it's Friday here he said to wait. He is requesting a ultrasound appointment so They will call me with that then said to go get blood work done again when I come in for that. Praying it's just early! I hope and pray for everyone too while are in same boat! ???. Darn anxiety disorder worries me so much lol

Yes, that's normal. My OB prefers not to do a scan before 8 weeks for this exact reason. Try not to stress as it's not good for you or baby. Good luck!

Thank you I'm praying! I go in tommrow for a real ultrasound I don't get though I have to fill my bladder up you would think they do a transvaginal one?

For me, they always do the abdominal first and then transvaginal. I've noticed on my invoice that they get about $400 for each one. I've started requesting transvaginal only just to save money.

Well I hope they do both. I'm sorry to hear it cost that much where you living! I'm in Canada so I don't have to pay so I'll demand both haha. Hoping for the best

Aww you're so lucky! I'd definitely take both of them then. :) Living in the US, I hate when my doctor orders an ultrasound. It costs way too much money so it just stresses me out in the end. Hoping for the best for you!
