He's doing great since he cut back so I'm hoping it'll make a difference. I'm taking Vitex and I'm trying not to add anything else into the mix if I don't have to. If nothing happens in a few months I might give the essential oils a chance. Thanks!!

You could try some essential oils that are estrogenic. I use Young Living oils and I swear by them. There are a couple that balance female hormones. Message me if you want more info. I nursed all my babies past a year too. Great job mama!

There are SO MANY benefits to nursing through toddler - hood :) my son Is almost 18 months and he still loves to nurse. Plan on doing it as long as he wants to! Love that you are giving your boy the option to nurse. And don't worry, most moms I know that nurse into toddler hood end up getting their cycle back before their little one stops nursing. It just takes a little more time for some, but it will happen!

In the beginning I was extremely hungry all the time, more than I was when I was pregnant. The amazing part was that I was also dropping weight and making plenty of milk. With a helpful SO to bring you lots of snacks and water it's not too bad. I'm definitely putting my son first and making sure his needs are met. I'm just hoping my fertility will return without having to wean. For the average bf mom it returns around 14 months, some as early as 4 months or as late as 30 months. I'll probably have to wait for him to wean but I hope not.

Hey Sallee, how are you doing? Hope you are feeling better :) I want to breastfeed as long as my child wants to also (whenever i finally have one) and am wondering if you have to eat more/different than if you aren't breastfeeding?

Im sorry, but I agree about not forcing him, id (personally) rather keep breastfeeding than worry about another baby,. Not trying to be insensitive sorry.

Because id worry about repercussion with my son and being weened to early...idk sorry just my opinion. Lol

Nursing still has plenty of benefits past a year. He's not ready to wean yet and I'm not going to force him. Eventually my body will regulate and I'll get pregnant again.

Why don't you wean him? You probably won't ovulate until he stops nursing. They say after a year nursing is not necessary.

Thank you. He is definitely getting great nutrition and I wouldn't change a thing. I just wish I was one of the lucky ones and not continually let down.

You're very sweet. I'm just pretty sad and disappointed right now. I talked to my doctor today to see if I had any options other than weaning and I don't. My son is 18 months so I probably won't get af or ovulate until he weans himself. I'm sure I'll be more optimistic in a few days but right now I just give up.

Don't give up! I bought 100 opks on Amazon for 20 dollars! The wondfo brand :/ maybe you can buy some cheapies? They made a huge difference for us. That's how we caught our 1st egg. It WILL happen. My friend didn't get her ppaf until 19 months after and a few months later she got a bfp. Please don't be too hard on yourself!!!

No. I tried them for awhile but it was just a waste of money. I've been hoping it would happen since July but I'm starting to try and accept the fact that it probably won't happen for a really long time. It sucks. :-(

Are you using OPKS? I Saw your other tests. The dollar store tests are sometimes way more sensitive . than FRER

Thanks. I hope it's the start of a line but I've counted it as a bfn. If I have any other symptoms I might test again in a week or two. I don't think I'll be getting pregnant anytime soon so I have to accept ig and keep waiting.

I'm trying to catch my first egg. I'm breastfeeding my 18 month old son and haven't had my first ppaf yet. I'm hoping it's a line but I've had evaps on a blue dye and a pink dye so I'm losing hope. Thanks for looking!
