Trisomy 22
I miscarried at 10 weeks (baby was closer to 8 weeks) and just received our genetic results today. They are positive for trisomy 22. Our healthcare team is recommending my husband and I both have blood tests to ensure neither of us was the contributor, followed by genetic counselling. I'm anxious about all of it but have always believed in knowing everything possible to make an informed decision.
Well so far things are great. My hcg quant went from 23 to 423 in 6 days and progesterone from around 17 to over 37 (after starting prometrium 200mg daily). I repeat levels Monday but with my 4 losses the levels never rose this well. I just can't believe after almost 2.5 years of trying it happened spontaneously back to back after the miscarriage.
My husband and I are seeing an RE for recurrent miscarriages. We both did the kareotyping (sp?) my doctor said it would most likely come back fine, but better safe than sorry. Unfortunately, I'm battling older eggs. We were both good. It does take a couple of weeks to get the results. Best of luck as you go forward.
Aww congrats @cunnymama3! That's so exciting for you. Nerve-wrecking for sure but I have all my fingers crossed you have a healthy pregnancy! We are slowly trying again because I'm so scared. I think we are just trying to approach it with a little more casualness since it was so stressful last time. And still no test results! It'll be 4 weeks this coming Wednesday so hopefully we hear soon. Not sure why it takes quite so long but the time has gone quickly. Once I hear, I'll definitely let you know. And, if you're comfortable doing so, please keep me updated on how you progress!
@erincmckee did you get your results yet? We don't even have an appointment... we both went for blood work last week. Results from that could take 4 weeks, with an appointment being schedule up to 4 weeks later.
@cunnymama3 @jdramasmama thank you for sharing, ladies! I'll definitely keep you posted :) So sorry for your losses and wishing you happy, healthy pregnancies.
I have had 4 early losses and genetic testing showed I have a balanced translocation of gene 10 and 11, meaning all the genetic info is there, just flip flopped between two genes. If I have a baby and the genetic material is unbalanced it causes miscarriage. Hoping for you it was just a random thing and you can have a happy healthy pregnancy.
Very sorry for your loss.I had a missed miscarriage @9 weeks in October of last year. They discovered during my 12 week appointment when the baby didn't have a heart beat.I got an emergency dnc because my body had not rejected the baby even though it had died three weeks earlier. My baby boy had trisomy 22 as well. The way my doctor explained it to me is that it happened at cell division and it was not anything we could have done to prevent it.She also said it is not Genetic. However I have read in a few forums that it could be genetic.I hope you find the answer.keep us updated xo
@erincmckee this is my first. Thanks for your message - it definitely gives me hope! Good luck to you as well :)
So we have no food in our house and no money so whatever we had I let my husband and kids eat. I'm so hungry. I haven't eaten since yesterday. I wish we weren't so behind on rent. Next week we have to pay our phone bill and the week after we have to pay rent again. I'm so sick on not being able to have food in our home.
I wish....
There was a place all of us could bring our May babies to play with each other, so our babies could have some great friends, like we all have in this group :)))
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

We had to have an emergency csection...my baby was born at 26 weeks at 1lb 12.9ounces...please keep our baby girl Charli in ur prayers!!
@cunnymama3 we got our blood test results and they are perfectly normal! Thank goodness. We'll still see a genetic counsellor in a few months in case but we feel great about trying again in the mean time :)
