Not only the strangers part, but also advertising you’ll be out of town and when! Asking for a break in.

I see this all the time! All i can think is "how are you so trusting of strangers!?" I've only ever left dd with my mother and mother inlaw. Even that was a rare occasion.

I don’t even trust half of my family to watch DS
But I have seen these kinds of posts and it BLOWS MY MIND. Like #1 that’s sooo dangerous #2 are you THAT irresponsible that you don’t have a back up sitter for emergencies ? If it’s not an emergency you’re basically just a POS. #3 can you imagine how the child feels? Probably absolutely terrified and understandably so!

I just said this exact thing. I follow a babysitting page and see people asking for last minute date night sitters or last minute overnight sitters for a birthday dinner or something. It's crazy to me.

I would not trust internet. I would rather celebrate at home? knowing dd was safe and sound.

I’ve hired one person from Facebook. I did interviews, trial runs while I was home, and had ceiling-mounted (very obvious) cameras that I checked in on.
And she was the police chief’s daughter.
I don’t understand leaving your babies with a total stranger. Overnight? Anything could happen.
