Lips peeling to the point of bleeding.

Lips peeling to the point of bleeding.

I'm so frustrated. I drink a ridiculous amount of water. I've tried probably a dozen lip balms, including one that was $20 and all natural, and nothing helps. My lips crack and peel every other day. I've always had somewhat dry lips, and pregnancy made it worse... Now, I have a cold and can only breathe through my mouth, and it's the worst. Ugh!

Thanks, y'all. I've got a few new things to try from your suggestions. ? Fingers crossed that I find some relief.

Walmart sells vitamin e sticks, like in a lipstick tube, in the vitamin aisle. Works wonders, I also use it for any cuts and dry skin around my nails. Easy peasy

I put on aquaphor right before bed every night and just a tiny tiny bit when I do my make up (lipstick) it's the only thing that works for me.

Nancy is right. They have drying agents. Use beeswax and coconut oil.

DON'T use petroleum based products (Vaseline, aquaphor) they actually create a barrier so you can't absorb moisture Tom the air. Get a humidifier, exfoliate your lips in the shower, and dab with a mix of vitamin E and coconut oil. Oils will moisturizer but not create a non-breathable barrier like petroleum.

Nipple cream or a lanolin based nappy rash cream. They have healing agents in them. Stay away from lip balms, they have exfoliatants in them to make your lips smooth, but will make dry lips worse. Also take some vitamin B too.

I use to make a moisturizing sugar scrub i use at night time. I would take a table spoon of sugar and poke a hole in two vitamin E capsules. Squeeze the capsules into the sugar and mix around. Then add a little bit of olive oil or coconut oil and mix until you get the consistency of wet sand. I would put it in a small sealable container, and replace it at the end of the week. I liked it because it would remove a lot of the flakey dry skin and moisturize at the same time. Vitamin E is suppose to help with healing and really seemed to help heal my lips.

You can make a coconut oil and sugar scrub to help exfoliate the dead skin off your lips. (I just put it in a small container) Then follow up with just coconut oil. That's what I do when my lips get out of control.

Aquaphor and Vaseline are the same thing. I would stick to Vaseline. I totally second the coconut oil! I love it and use it everyday as a lotion.

Carmex did nothing for me but burn... Lips still peeled while using it, even after exfoliating.

I've read all the people hailing coconut oil as the miracle cure for everything ever... I couldn't justify buying it for just dry lips before, but I give up. I'll look for some tonight and give it a go as well.

I use Vaseline every night, and that helps a lot! I'd imagine aquafor will help too.

Coconut oil? I use it in the shower on my whole face. It's helped a lot since I was having similar dry skin issues. You've probably already tried it though. :/

Ridiculously chapped lips

Ridiculously chapped lips Help me! This has been going on for months but only intensified since getting pregnant. I have tried so many different types of chapsticks, lip balms, moisturizers, lip masks and treatments, and even some all natural methods, but nothing has helped. I literally have chunks of skin peeling off my lips. This has never happened to me before.

What to do if lips keep peeling?

Can anyone recommend a good lip repair thing? My lips keep peeling no matter how much water I drink and chapstick I apply. I usually wear Carmex chapstick and its not helping. Im struggling hardcore and I don't want them to end up cracking and bleeding 😩
