bedsharing

As much as I was against bedsharing I am now doing it. Out of necessity for sleep mainly, my baby sleeps so much better when she is in our bed and DH actually likes her in bed.

I think you definitely have to time the transition. Usually there’s sweet spots for sleep training where they’ll be the most comfortable transitioning. My first is 18 months and I’ve bedshared with him since his 4 month sleep regression and teething which happened at the same time. I can’t get him out of our bed but a lot of that was circumstance, like sleep regression, teething, me being pregnant and then having a new baby. I’m just waiting for the right time really. With this one he starts in the bassinet and when he wakes up to eat I’ll pull him in bed with me. He still naps in his bassinet. I know it’ll be a lot easier to transition him 100% to his crib.

I did it with my first and I’m doing it again. It’s not that hard to break - we sleep trained my first at 7 months with the Ferber method, and it was hard but after three nights he slept on his own all night. I missed him in the bed, but sleeping properly felt so good. I’ll do the same when my babe is ready to go through the night without a snack!

We did the same with our eldest. My partner worked night shifts so it was only the baby and i in the bed at night so we had plenty of space.

When I tried to move him into his own room he would scream all night long so I would bring him into the bed with me so I could sleep. This happened almost every night until he was 18 months old. We decided to move him into his own bed earlier then we originally planned. I think he just really hated the cot. Once we moved him into his big bed he slept all night with no wake ups, and still does unless he's sick/too hot/cold etc. so it wasn't hard to break the habit for him once we realised that he didn't like the cot, I think him not liking his cot was because he was confined to the one space.

It wasn’t hard to break it for us with my daughter. I started putting her in her own bed at almost 3. The same time I stopped breastfeeding her. However I think the transition was easy because her bed was right next to ours. We were living at my parents house so we had no choice. Sometimes I would have to lay with her until she fell asleep. She came up with a little bedtime routine that she still uses to this day. I know it’s probably different though because she was a toddler so that took toddler-aged negotiations lol

It was so hard for me to break the habit. I know that not everyone is a softie like me, but I had a terrible time getting my daughter to sleep alone

I feel like the worst mom ever

I feel like the worst mom ever So it's is 230 and I wake up to my son screaming. We co sleep and I KNOW he was in between my husband and I. He was in the middle of the bed when I went to sleep. I KNOW that I fed him off my left side. I don't sleep walk. I didn't get up. My husband didn't get up. Yet somehow my son fell off the bed onto the floor. ? it's maybe two feet high and carpet but I feel so bad. He isn't old enough to crawl over me or crawl at all. He barely can roll from his back to belly sometimes. I have absolutely no clue how he got over there much less rolled off a king sized bed when there is room. ?? I calmed him down and fed him back to sleep but I don't think I'm gonna be sleeping tonight again. Please tell me I'm not the only one who's child has fell off a bed?

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
