annoyed/ double standard
I am beyond irritated/ pissed. So on Christmas my SIL brought her sick 4 month old to the Christmas gathering thinking he wasn't contagious... even though he has been irritable, low fever, red eyes and nose also a terrible cough and groaning in discomfort. Now, why I'm so annoyed is she is the type that will literally leave a gathering if someone else's kid was sick a week prior and has been treated and recovered or if a child sneezes she freaks. Come to find out her son still feels like crap so she brought him to the doctor and he has RSV. I am beyond annoyed because other family didn't come to the gathering because their son was sick week prior and they didn't want to intrude on her because she is the type to leave the party early and they didn't want to be the cause. Now they are mad and felt left out becausd she went ahead a brought her "unknown" sick baby to the part. I'm mad too, because I could tell he was contagious just by hearing and seeing him! I have a 8 week old daughter and didn't let then get close but still, why even risk that? Babies do not cough and groan for no reason.

I got lucky, so me being a paranoid mother I called the pediatrician and told them she was around a baby and toddler that had RSV and asked if I should bring her in. He said to bring her in to be tested even though she appeared to be fine, he is the type to be cautious.
Luckily little one didn't contract it even with family passing babies around and toddler slobbering on everything in sight.
We got lucky and God was looking out!
