newborn activities and playtime
Given that I'm a first time mom I honestly don't know when I can play with my little girl. What all can you do with newborns? I feel like she is purely primal and all she does is eat, sleep and poo. ?
Newborns don't really need to be entertained. Just include them in life. Hold them, carry them around, talk about life and things, read, and sing. If you want to play a game, try "hide and seek" newborn style. I lay my baby on the changing table and chat with her for a moment (my face is pretty close to hers). Then I move my head out of her view and keep chatting until she finds me. Then I move my head to another spot and wait until she finds me again. It's fun because it's interactive.
Definitely start reading! I’m so amazed st how my baby boy looks so engaged at the illustrations already!
Same here! I feel like I don't know what to do with my newborn. But I love to sing to him and cuddle him a lot. I also read my own books out loud to him.
You are doing everything you need to be doing at this young age. Make sure you respond to her when she cries so she feels secure. Lots of cuddles, talk to her when your doing a nappy change or in the bath, lots of physical contact, kisses and cuddles but enjoy this stage and get lots of rest in the day, treat yourself to some DVDs because in a few weeks it's going to get full on! X ?
My lo loves patty cake, tummy time, and just checking out the house ( I walk around so he can see everything)
Let her feel different objects. Like something soft, rough, fuzzy, different textures...stuff like that and explain them to her. Also have her do tummy time on the floor and put an object in front of her so she’ll look up at it. Also just talking to them about random things is good for them!
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
This is what happens when a littles sister doesn't listen and goes a bit bridezilla. She wants all her sisters to wear the same thing for her wedding in a few weeks. I told her "I can wear something as similar as I can make it, but being pregnant I can't wear the same exact thing. It just won't work". Then she settled on a denim shirt dress. Cute, but wouldn't work on me normally, let alone pregnant (I'm pretty tall). She said she'd just femme a bigger size to fit over the tummy. I told her the tummy would also make it even shorter. She wouldn't listen.
TWW!! 2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
Her helmet she got so she can be safe (as she told me) when she rides her bike and scooter lol
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!

I talk to him and walk him around the house. That’s his entertainment lol. He currently loves talking to inanimate objects. Especially the back of my rocking chair. ?
