Sorry for all the posts lately! I've just been having a lot of questions ? Do my luteal phase temps seem too low? They haven't seemed to get very high and have stayed somewhat stagnant since ovulation. I been suspecting that I might have some sort of luteal phase problems and I was wondering if the lower temps might mean anything. Thanks for all the help again! ?

Your spotting seems to be close to the end of your luteal phase... it seems like it's mostly that af is about to start. Now if you spotted consistently throughout your lp... and wasn't able to keep a sustained level of elevated temps.. then that would be considered a progesterone issue. But some women naturally spot a few days before actual af arrives!!!

Depends on how long your l.p. is!! If your luteal phase is 11 or 12 days long... I would say that th3 spotting you are having is normal as it could very well be pre af spotting instead of a progesterone issue.

@angikay, that's really interesting information, because the last two cycles I have started spotting around 9-10 dpo. Would that be considered a luteal phase defect? Since this is my first cycle temping, I am curious to see when my temps start dropping enough to trigger the spotting. Or hopefully they don't!

Knowing that all women are different ... I would say that as long as you aren't spotting in your luteal phase and you are maintaining elevated temps you are good. And you do !! So no worries!!

They maybe lower than some.. But I don't think it signals a progesterone problem. Everyone's body is different. Some women are more hot bodied naturally than others. If you spot during the luteal phase consistently and aren't able to sustain elevated temps above 97.. it would signal a progesterone problem.

No. Your temps are normal post ovulation temperatures.

Oh ok, thanks for the insight! I wonder if I might have low progesterone levels?

97 and above is normal for post ovulation.

Your temps are normal. However when they are low... it could signal a low progesterone problem in the luteal phase..as progesterone is the element that heats things up!!

@Kloney, thanks for dealing with my neuroticism! ?

Usually above 97.6 is fine for post-O! And you’ve increased well more than half a degree from O. You’re okay!!!

Thanks! I have read some conflicting information. Makes me nervous that my temps haven't gotten much greater than 98 degrees ?

As long as its above cover I think you’re okay! They’re still quite a bit higher than your pre-O temps.
