Small baby?

Anyone else here looking at the possibility of having a small baby? Or have had one before? I have chronic hypertension (hasn't developed into pre-eclampsia yet) and always knew that there was a chance I may have a smallish baby. Fundal height has been measuring 2-3 weeks ahead for the past several weeks, so I was thinking maybe he was actually going to be on the bigger side. Last Thursday I had an ultrasound and baby was measuring 3lb, 9oz at 32 weeks, 6 days. Doctor says this means that baby is currently in the 17th percentile...and wasn't particularly happy. We will repeat the ultrasound in 2 weeks, and if his growth isn't sufficient then we may have to induce early. Either way she said I definitely won't see my due date of 9/30. While I am happy to be meeting my little guy sooner versus later, I am still a little worried and wish I knew more about making him grow stronger and healthier before he comes out!
