With my 1st my water broke at 36 weeks, but my body had no signs of progressing. So I was given pitocin. Other then a few hours of hell, it wasn't that bad. My girl was born vaginally about 13 hours from given the medicine. I am going in tomorrow to be induced with my 2nd. Not sure how this one is going to go. I will be 38 weeks. I am hoping

It isn't a long labor.

I was induced with my first and although extremely painful I didn't have too bad of an experience. I was already overdue though so that might make a difference as I was already dilated to 3cm and therefore only needed the drip. I only laboured for five hours from them breaking my waters to having my baby girl. With my second I went into labor naturally and it was much less painful than the induction because it's basically forcing your body to do something. Good luck with everything hopefully it'll be a good experience for you

Hopefully it goes fast cuz I'm already 4cm dilated!

My sister in law was induced with her first and her 4th. She was young and she’s a tiny person and she delivered vaginally but he got stuck and had to be vacuumed out and she lost a lot of blood and I don’t know if she actually did pass out or got close. Her 4th she was at the hospital all day and when she got to 3 centimeters they checked her to see how low baby was and accidentally broke her water and she progressed fast after that and she delivered vaginally just fine

Don’t fret. It will be what it will be and you are a tough mama! My worst fear was being induced and I ended up having to be induced from a completely closed cervix at 39 weeks with my first due to preeclampsia. It was a long process (51 hours) but I stayed strong and my midwives stayed patient and my daughter was born naturally and without pain medication. Same thing happened with my second daughter at 37 weeks, though the labor was faster. I’m expecting some variation of that with my third. It was definitely painful, but I don’t know what a spontaneous labor feels like for comparison so oh well! You can do whatever you need to do to meet your baby. If you and your baby do ok with the induction, you can be your own advocate to your doctor to make sure that you don’t have a c-section (assuming it remains safe). I highly recommend hiring a doula to help make sure you get the kind of birth you can get, though of course it isn’t always within your control.

Induced with both of my pregnancies. First one took 33 hrs before he was born (my body just didn’t know what to do lol). Second time I checked in at 7 in the morning and had her by noon. Super easy the second time around. You check in, fill out paperwork, get your IVs set up, start your pitocin once doc has come in to check you, contractions start, get pain med if you want it, wait until your 6ish centimeters dilated, request an epidural if you want, break water, dilate to 10, push baby out :)

I just had my first c-section and this is my 3rd child and I was induced on my due date! I was so nervous and scared but everybody is different so you might not have a c-section but I had got induced with my 2nd child and didn’t have a c-section

I got induced with all 4 of my baby’s and my longest was 6 hours
