Constipation with GD
I need some help!!! I have the worst constipation ever ? since I started the GD diet. I use to just drink prune juice and that helped so much, but I don't want to spike my sugar levels, so what can I do? I'm so miserable and in pain cuz it's so uncomfortable ??

Drink tons of water and eat healthy fats - avocado, coconut oil, olive oil, (bacon and sausage aren’t healthy but I always have to go after eating it bc of the grease lol),
Also walking helps get things moving too

May I ask what tons of water is cuz I drink probably a gallon of water a day lol

Check and see if you can take a stool softener...I don't know if we can while pregnant; I know that once we deliver, stool softeners are a god-send!
Depending on your sugar levels, fruit will help-if your sugars don't go too high eating the fruit.
My husband's endocrinologist told gave him a chart, where he's supposed to split his plate into uneven thirds.
1/2 of the plate should be vegetables, 1/4 of the plate should be protein, and the other 1/4 of the plate should be carbs-fruit, grains, breads, etc.

I take a cap full of Miralax a night and it has helped so much! I took 3 nights off from taking it and regretted it immediately! It takes about 2 days to work but it’s worth it!

Thank you guys I'm going to have to ask about the stool softeners. I know those really work after labor. I tried the meralax with my first pregnancy and it didn't work ? that's when I discovered prune juice works wonders lol but having GD this round sucks cuz im limited ?
