My hospital only has Orange for right now. They have another flavor on order but they haven't received it. Both my one hour test last week and three hour test yesterday I had to drink nasty Orange flavor.

I failed my 1 hr and was told only Orange is available for the 3 hr. Thanks to allergies I can't drink that one (honestly all the flavors I'm allergic to but opted the colorless line hoping for no hives but I still got them) so since I can't do the 3 hr I have to do 4 finger pokes a day checking sugars for a week. Sounds fun right? It sucks and I'm only on day two. Luckily only 1 high number so far and it was my breakfast one after having a very low fasting one.

I am at the doctor as we speak taking the 3 hour test. I was given fruit punch. Luckily i got it down.

Mine let me have fruit punch this time since it stayed down for me one hour. I just had to take 2 bottles instead of one since they only have the 50 in everything else besides the orange. So far so good even though I'm half hour into it. Hopefully it continues to stay down.

Did my 3 hour today and got fruit punch. I hate anything and everything fruit punch so i wasnt very happy on top of being hungry and thirsty. I chugged it in like a minute and got thru it. I like the orange one. If i need to re do this test i will tell them no fruit punch. Bleh.

I think as long as I don't get the orange again I'll be ok. Hopefully so I can just get it done and over with lol tomorrow we shall see how it goes

I did the test 3 times and didn't have a choice with any of them. They just brought whatever. My 1 hr test was orange flavored, first 3 hr was lemon lime, and 2nd 3 hr was orange again. None of them taste good. I guess I didn't ask for anything specific though.

I'm in the US. At my doctors office the first time they offered me lemon lime, orange, or fruit punch. I'm not sure if the 3 hour just has more sugar in it than the 1 hour or what so we'll see Thursday.

As far as I know Orange is the only flavor available here in Canada.

My dr only had orange available. Good luck--I know it's awful (and that's coming from a girl who has a major sweet tooth!)

Thanks. I'll try. I'm not a huge sweets fan since I got pregnant. The only sweet stuff I eat is pay days but those have peanuts and caramel so there not so sweet. Hopefully I can talk her into letting me drink a different kind.

Ask if they can give you something for the nausea before you take it next time. I'm so sorry you're going through this hun ?. I pray that everything goes well next time! ??

I didn't have a choice either. They gave me orange at the 1 hr and the 3hr test. I hate the orange and could barely keep it down.

my mom (who works in hospital laboratories) said they are required to have a jelly bean option as well. maybe ask if they have that next time.

I don't know if I had a choice at either of my tests. They just brought the orange flavor and I liked it.

I didn't have a choice at my 3 hour. They only had 1 flavor available. Sorry it made you sick! That stinks!!
