Telling parents?

So I’m scheduled for my D&C tomorrow. We haven’t told parents we were pregnant yet so I’m not sure how to tell them I’m pregnant but losing the baby.

I’m doing alright. Yesterday was hard. I was so emotional I couldn’t do my job and could only text or email. I ended up having my manager do my work. I’m hoping each day will get a little better. I can’t stay in this state of mind forever. It’s driving me crazy. But I know I need my time to grieve.

Thank you for all your support. The surgery itself went really well. I’m cramping a little bit but nothing too bad, a little blood but not much. I would say this is more of an emotional recovery at this point. I’m having a hard time accepting that I’m no longer pregnant although I was losing my baby anyway.

I get it. We didn’t share with anyone we were ttc. I didn’t want the added stress of people asking how things were going, so everyone was shocked when we said we were pregnant. When the miscarriage happened last week I just texted everyone, because the words were hard to come out without crying. The time will come when you can tell them. ?

Girls. I literally just TEXT my mom because I’m such a wreck. I didn’t tell her what’s going on (yet) but I told her to not worry about my husband and I not going to work tomorrow because we are taking the day off. Stupid me, I thought she would text back or come ask me why and she just said “Ok”

UGH!

Thank you ?? I’m trying to work up the courage to tell my mom tonight before bed. If they knew I was pregnant I feel it wouldn’t be as hard. But they will be shocked to hear all of this all at once. My mom just came and asked me a question and I totally chickened out on telling her. ? this is SO hard.

I was in this situation, in that I told my parents the day before my D&C it was a massive shock for them as they didn’t know I was pregnant or even that we were trying. Just be straight to the point, don’t overthink it. They will appreciate the honesty and for me it was really nice to have that extra support during he mental and physical recovery.

Even if you can’t talk it out verbally, I sent my mom a message to tell her I was miscarrying.

I went through the same thing, I told my parents the day before my D&C because I knew they would be very upset if I had surgery without telling them! It was a tough conversation but they were very supportive.

I'm sorry for your loss.

It was hard for me to do this also. But I just ripped the bandaid so to speak. I called my mom & told her that I was getting a procedure done because of X Y & Z. I don't have all the answers at this moment but I appreciate your thoughts & prayers. She was there for me throughout the recovery period.

I hope it works out.

I agree if you're up to it I would tell them tonight.

If you feel up to it, I would tell them tonight. It would be good to have their support tomorrow. I’m so sorry this is happening to you. ?

I’m so sorry dear ? it’s never easy especially if you didn’t get to tell them before now..

When I found out i was pregnant a few weeks ago the day before I started bleeding I had told my mom we were expecting as well as my sisters and my best friend and DH of course. I didn’t get the chance to tell everyone since I lost the baby so soon, but I told my dad and step mom and the rest of our family by just simply saying we were pregnant however lost the baby and it wasn’t the way we’d hope to announce but they were glad we still told them so they could comfort us and offer us their love support and prayers. I still made a public post about our loss to everyone else who didn’t known since many knew we were trying and I wanted my baby to be know even if he/she are in heaven now. But it’s totally your choice who and how you tell!

God bless you dear, prayers for you and your family ❤️
