What are doctors saying that is considered a high blood pressure? My feet are swollen again and been monitoring my bp and was 150/88

I'm being closely monitored for BP. I'll get an occasional reading of 160s/100s. But it seems to be averaging around 150/90 right now (it was averaging in the 120s/80s). I'm home on bedrest and have 4 appts this week. I think I'll probably get induced sometime next week when I am 37 weeks by lmp. My doctor and nurse told me that swelling is common in pregnancy but to look out for extreme swelling (especially in the face), excruciating headache, blurry vision, upper right abdominal pain, and a BP where the systolic is above 170 and the diastolic is above 100. But these are just the numbers I was given. You should ask your medical team under what circumstances you should call/go in.

My understating is that if they start seeing repeated readings over 150/90 they will treat you/admit you etc

Any elevation that's abnormal for your body can be considered high blood pressure in pregnancy. ...even if it's in the "normal" range for the average person

Its high, but remember that swelling in your feet isnt always blood pressure related.

First starting out bp was always no higher than 120 over 68. Last three weeks have been higher

I think it depends what it was to begin with - if that was my BP, no one would be worried X

For sure high.

They called back and said if I get headache, different vision, or feel ill and bp gets over 150/90 then to call back. Otherwise just monitor, lay low. They didnt seem to concerned

My DR diagnosed me with hypertension at 140/80. However, I was also told anything over 15 points than your base bp (non pregnant) is considered high and needs to be monitored.
and anything over 90 for the bottom number they don't like seeing

Anything above 140/90 is considered high blood pressure. Only one of the numbers need to be higher in order for it to be considered high.
