With my first my waters started leaking at home but they didn't fully break until I was pushing and with my son they didn't break until I was pushing. I delivered both roughly 5 minutes after.

Never. They had to break it all 4 times. I must have an iron sac. ?

Dr broke mine twice before. I have no idea what it even would feel like. I'm hoping that it doesn't break at work this time.

1st: Woke up to contractions, water broke on toilet.

2nd: Induction. Dr. broke it.

3rd: Broke while laying in bed.

4th: Also broke while laying in bed.

5th: Induction. Dr. broke it.

6th: Induction. Dr. broke it.

At 37.5 weeks I woke up middle of the night with cramps and mild contractions, bloody show. Showered and got ready, left for the hospital which was 10 min away. After I got to the hospital the contractions got stronger and as soon as I checked in and went to my room my water broke while I was changing into my hospital gown. Thank goodness because I was so paranoid about water breaking in public or at home and make a mess!! :)

With my first, the dr broke it. With my second, my water broke in hospital while I was labouring. Once my water breaks the pattern is that the baby comes right away so I would be scared if it broke at home.

My water was broken around 5am. I didn't go to the hospital until 12. I was having mild contractions. But it wasn't a huge gush of water, just little by little.

Mine was broken when I was about 6cm dilated and about 18 hours into labor. I will not let dr break mine this time. I am taking an adult diaper to work just in case it breaks at work because it's a lot of water.

Both times my water broke while I was already in active labor in the hospital. The first time my water broke around 12am and I didn't have my daughter until 9am. The second time my water broke at 9am and I didn't have her until 3pm. I don't remember how far dilated I was though.

It broke on its own around midnight, with my first and that sent me into labor. With my second, contractions started in the afternoon, I reached 10cm, and the doc had to break my water.

This is my 4th and my water broke one time (3rd kid). It was a nightmare. It broke at work as i was standing middle of my office 2pm...i felt something warm n am like wtf whats going on with my vagina. It was time for me to leave because i havd doc appt at at 230. I stood there confused then i heard a loud noise as if someone had opened a fossit water and am like what? Wherea thst water noise coming. Then i could see huge amounts of water coming between my legs (it literly looked lile a waterfall) then i realised my water broke. I looked around and no one was around (we had a meeting but boss knew i was leaving n not staying for it). I ran to the bathroom across from my office shaking. I was so shocked, nervous, confused and just overwehelmed with million emotions. I mean this was my third kid and ive never had my water brokw on its own (though i prayed foe it---careful what you wish for).

Then i texted a friend at work who told my boss (awkward) then she came in and helped me walk to my car...i called my midwife and said yo am a walking waterfall how do i drive? She asked if i was in pain? No i wasnt then she said put your sweater between your legs and drive. Only come to the hospital when you know its happening. I said fine and did that. Went home...cooked...cleaned...put my kids to bed....showered and slept....we made the drive 6am next morning and he was born 6pm.....

So yeah i didnt like the water breaking....now am hoping for the usual-contractions that get stronger lasting close to 1 min that are 5 min or less apart for 1hr....hense the 511 rule

Mine broke at home while I was out walking the dog. Contractions never started tho so I ended up on pitocin

They had to break my water for me ... after more than 9 hours of labor, I was 5cm dilated. Things were going so slow... they hoped it would speed things up. Unfortunately it didn't really...

With my first and third kiddos, it broke while I was pushing. Second kiddo's broke shortly after I got in bed for the night, a huge, gusher type of break! Labor didn't start for 12 hrs. All spontaneous!

I can only hope my water breaks at work ?

It'd be hilarious, I can only imagine how it'd go if I was on a call.

Mine broke at the hospital about 10 minutes before our son was born. As soon as they burst it was go time.

Mine have varied. From being broken 45 mins before he arrived, going on their own before hospital, going as contractions started and ds3 was born in his (born at 22 weeks)

My water was broken by a nurse after some already intense contractions (I was induced). And then they got more intense. So it was about mid labor. I'm crossing my fingers that my water won't break at any time outside the hospital. ?

My water broke on its own 2wks b4 my due date while I was at work! I was a restaurant manager at the time & thankfully I was standing in the kitchen & not the dining room when it happened! Water broke around 3p. @ 4:30 when I got to the hospital I was 3cm & 80% effaced. @ 6pm I actually felt my first contraction! Hadn't felt anything prior to that!

I took 1 of those birthing classes & asked what was the likely hood of it happening b/c I was terrified of it happening at work. The instructor told me 15% of the time it happens. She said usually the babies head is down blocking. This relaxed me & yeah it happened anyways!

I had contractions all night until there next morning and got to the hospital at 5cm Doctor broke my water at 6 cm and I ended up having to be induced the rest of the way because it didn't get thing moving along. We'll see what this baby has in store for me.

My water brok both times on its own and i never went into labor. They had to put me on pitocine to induce me both times.

With any of my 2 pregnancy, my water never broke. I had bloody show with my 2nd. But with my first it was considered as uti check up and turned to be i am already 5cm dilated so they kept me already.let's see with this little one

First baby my water broke around 8-9cm. Second baby my water broke with my first push and her head. ;)

Mine broke at 36 weeks. Never felt contractions even though I was having them. They induced me with cervadil and then pitocin over 40 hours and I got to 6cm on my own but ended up with an emergency c-section

Water broke at 36 Weeks 4ish days. It was like freaking Niagara Falls! Legit left a river from my bed to my bathroom. Started having mild cramping but not full on contractions until they hooked me up to pictocin temporarily. That jump started labor and they turned it off. He was born roughly 10 hours after my water broke.

First two times, my water broke spontaneously. (Never went into labor though, so was induced)

3rd time, my water broke during active labor, shortly before he was born.

Mine broke on the toilet and contractions never started on there own so I was induced 24 hours after they had broken

Mine broke after about 20hrs into my induction. Sometimes it never breaks and Baby is born "en caul" it comes out intact around the baby it's really amazing my friend had a baby born this way.

My first baby my water started leaking right before contractions started...it was just a trickle until they broke it right before baby came. My 2nd they broke it when I was about 9.5 cm and that made me dilate the rest of the way really quickly.

I'd been having contractions for 36 hours before mine popped. And it popped during a contraction on my way to the hospital.

Mine broke at home on the toilet at 38 weeks and 1 day with my son . No contractions so we went to the hospital to be induced.

Mine "broke" at home while I was sleeping. Got up around 6am to pee and noticed my underwear was wet. I honestly thought that I had just peed myself in my sleep because it really wasnt that much, but then it just kept leaking out. My labor contractions started pretty soon after. Only 10 or 15 percent of women have their water break on its own. Sometimes its a trickle, sometimes it's a sudden gush, and sometimes the doc has to do it for you right before you push. Maybe pack a towel, extra undies and pants, and a pad just in case?

Mine never did with my first, i had to have the obgyn pop it, after 26 hours of labor. Then i dilated quickly to 10cm and had my son in an hour. Probably going to have the same issue this time, i just know to get it done sooner.
