Both times now my dogs sense it. They do the exact same thing. I have two pitbulls. One is the sweetest boy ever but he tends to be a loner until I get pregnant. Then he's always snuggling with his mama.

Our female dog is super aware of everything. She normally sleeps on a dog bed in our bedroom but since I have become pregnant she sleeps in between my husband and myself with her head near my belly. Our other dog is hyper sometimes and I have noticed her keeping him away from me when he is acting hyper. It's so weird. I have also heard your dog will start acting different like the day before you know you are in labor. I'm trying to be more aware of her and watch closely. Lol.

I absolutely believe dogs sense it. They may not always act on it but they definitely sense it. If dogs can be trained to smell cancer I bet they can sense the baby.

Yes I believe they do sense it. I read somewhere , that they can also smell your hormones changing. I have a pekingese ,and she smells my belly every now and then.

I'm pretty sure both my dog and cat can tell. With my son my cat disappeared my entire pregnancy, didn't want around me at all. Whereas, the doc never let me be. This time the dog is very standoffish and the cat is realty clingy

My neighbors have two pitbulls and they sit next to me and gaurd me especially the male (Boston) I've known them since they were pups but it seems like they're more into me and very protective lol Boston even likes tho nudge my belly it's so cute.

My husband believes our dog can tell I'm pregnant, or at least knows there's something different about me. I don't really notice a difference in her behavior

For sure! He is my pregnancy test! My dog acted protective and stressed before I found out I was pregnant! Not to be a downer but he for sure new about my losses too. But yes, dogs are super amazing and smarter than we give credit. I have a Rottweiler who is extremely cuddly (and HUGE.. 126lb).

When I was walk him now, he's nervous which sux bec. He doesn't enjoy his walks. He is such a protector and will jump if a car speeds by lol. Usually he's fine.
