Tubes in ears
My son gets tubes in his ears on Friday. I'm getting so nervous! I know I am going to be a wreck. I really hope this is worth it!

my daughter had this done Thursdayshe was upset and screaming afterwards but by the end of the day she was okay. she is a chatter box now and really improving her crawling. like a total new baby. she can hear a lot better. the same Dr. did my ear tubes twice when I was little. I would do it all over again. :)

I had tubes in my ears when I was 10 after many years of painful ear infections. It helped A LOT and I only wish they had done it sooner.
I also had a cousin that got them when he was 2. He hadn't really spoken any words yet but the week after he got them he started talking up a storm.

Have you noticed any difference in their sleep patterns. My ds use to be such a good sleeper until he got his first ear infection. He has had 4 infections in the last 4 months and now he is a terrible sleeper.

May I ask where you live? I live in Canada and they won't put tubes in my sons ear until after he is a year. We have been going for hearing tests every 2 months and his left ear is still blocked but lucky no infections. I am worried it is delaying some milestones. I am a wreck about the thought and it may clear itself so ds may not have to have it done. I am sorry you have to do this but hopefully it will be better in the long run!

My son got them at almost 10 months and hes doing great no more ear infections since and they have already came out from the ear canal just waiting on the to fully come out of the ear. He did cry ALOT after but thats because they don't know how to handle the symptoms of the anesthesia. And it was a quick 7 minute procedure.

I'll be thinking about you! We're most likely going to be doing the same for my dd soon, although we've had a break from ear infections lately *knock on wood!*. That's so interesting what the pp's said about milestones. My lo rolled over really late, I wonder if that's related. How are your lo's milestones? Good luck to you and your lo, let us know how it goes!!

My ds rolled over really late but we think it's because he is a bit of a chunker. He started crawling right at 8 months. Now at ten months he cruises the furniture and claps his hands. All he really says is dada, gaga, and ra or ra ra.
