What do you think of this poster from Deer Park Elementary? Do you agree with the values they are teaching?

This is the article that I read in my facebook feed about it. It was shared by the libertarian homeschooler, so that's why there's such a clear bias.

These Levels of development seem to be about authority which imo shows there's a lack of understanding somewhere. As pp stated parents don't have a problem with our children complying to rules which can teach them obedience but to conform to peer pressure..how is that teaching our children to stand up for what is right or themselves even others? And nothing is aimless..even when you do wrong there's a point. A point that there needs to be correction and growth. I mean I could easily say that lifeskills are the levels of development...logic, common sense, love, perseverance, flexibility, sense of humor, compassion, knowledge IN understanding etc...which truthfully would actually be a whole lot better..back in the day, these were the skills lots of teachers were teaching us..actual development skills..I'm just sayin

Pookie, I agree. My husband is a libertarian bordering on anarchist. He is a good, honest, hard-working family man. A lack of centralized authority doesn't mean a lack of internal values or morals. Self-regulation and personal responsibility can exist without democracy.

I'm with @pookie. It says confirm to peer pressure. I want to my kids to be themselves. I understand stand they need to follow rules but that doesn't mean following what their peers are doing. It needs to be worded better and in words that elementary kids can understand. It seems off to me

Anarchy isn't always aimless or negative either. I think the list in general lends itself to robotic conformity and I'm not a fan.

It seems a bit much for elementary kids.

They are synonymous. But for some reason people like compliance more than conformity. Personally, I don't like either one. And I'm glad it's no longer a goal for my children.

Compliance and conformity are synonyms.

I don't like the wording for conformity either. Compliance would be better.

I find this accurate.

Yeah, I guess. I suppose it's just semantics

Would compliance be a better word for it? That's the word my son's school used.

I think it's a little strange. And I wouldn't compare cooperation to conformity. To me, conformity isn't necessarily a good thing.
