Yes, if you fail the three hour glucose test you are diagnosed with gestational diabetes. You will have to see your doctor a little more and change your diet. If it’s not controlled by your diet they have medication and insulin. With my daughter I used insulin from 13 weeks on and delivered a healthy 7lb 7oz healthy baby girl. Don’t panic too much. There are some risk when you have it but again it’s completely manageable. I saw a diabetes specialist throughout my pregnancy for the insulin I’m sure they will get you set up with someone to explain everything and help monitor you.

I just got diagnosed with gestational diabetes this pregnancy. With my first i never had it. They are setting me up with a specialist to talk about my diet. I find it odd that this pregnancy I have it cuz i have been eating pretty healthy, with my first I craved all sweets.
