Thank you girls. The funeral is Monday morning and today it being Thanksgiving I am just trying to keep it together, I miss her so much but today i am thankful that my family and i will all be together.. including my uncle and while the turkey is going we will be putting together my mom-moms photo display for the viewing. Our little way of holding her close for the holiday.
Hope you all have a lovely and warm thanksgiving spent with loved ones and give each and every one of them a tighter squeeze when you hug them. Every hug and kiss counts. ❤

@ana Your words truly touched my heart, I can't thank you enough for such sweet words. For a 4'10 105 lb Italian woman she sure socked a mean punch. She was so full of life, the strongest woman i have ever known. I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I will pray for continuous healing.
I think your grandma must've been one of those women that come along once in a lifetime. When they come in your life, you know what I mean. They touch everyone around them. By the way she was loved by everyone, you can really tell she was very special. To me, what I take from this post is that;
1. I strive to be that kind of woman. The kind of woman that on my deathbed, I will be surrounded by loved ones and know that I lived without regrets.
2. Women are powerful. Not necessarily in that feminist type of way, but in the old school Italian mom kind of way lol. She was always hoping and wishing the best for you while providing support.
3. Her love, kindness and wisdom humbles me.
4. Be grateful for your loved ones and don't be afraid to show them how much you love them at every opportunity, be it a gesture, kind word or action.
Thank you for sharing. My mother was alot like your grandma. I will pray for your family's loss, especially your uncle as you requested.
Oh sweet heart she is not the last you have of your mom first off you and your baby girl are a piece of her and your mom. You can see how much she is loving your baby in this picture it's beautiful really. My grandmother passed away 19 years ago on nov 11th not a day goes by that I don't think of her and the things she taught me and told me. The pain never goes away but just know she will be looking out for you. My grandmother passed away from lung cancer and so for the last bit in the hospital she couldn't talk either she was able to write a little on paper not much as she was weak but maybe you can try that. One thing I'm glad the nurses did was let me lay on the bed and cuddle with her durning the last days she used to hold me and I was able to hold on to her in the end. Also she was in pain before and that morning after she passed she actually had a smile it was bittersweet but I think it helped. Just hope you can get something out of this. Good luck your family will be in my prayers

Your story touches my heart deeply, I went through a very similar time in my life, I too had a nana. She raised me from a very young age and she was like a mother to me. My biological mom also passed away. My nana was 86 and died 8 days after her last birthday this past February. We have an amazing God, one who not only keeps His promises, but has greater plans than we can even imagine. A God who doesn't do things our way, but will do them the right way

A God who, no matter the situation, you can rely on to get you through. Just like the Jews of Jesus' time, we may not always understand what is going on, or why God seems to be "failing" in keeping His promises, but we can know that in the end, He will not only keep His promise, but amaze us in how He did it
