Well mommy's, it's officially my birthday! Really missing my mom, having some trouble with this more than other years.. I'm a little nervous becoming a mommy, without having my own mom by my side!

@jmuse.... This is my first pregnancy and although I still have my mom she has MS too. I never knew how badly her and my father wanted to be grandparents, and I may be their only hope in having them. When I found out I wasn't going to keep it, but I went to a free clinic and found out my due date is their wedding anniversary February 7th. I pray she comes on that day just bc of that...

@laroux that's awesome! I believe that numbers do find a way to always connect or some how follow you in life! He is always there with you..I'm sorry for your loss, and also about your mother I'm sure that's even worse :-/ everything happens for a reason though and life does go on!

@jmuse .. That is a sign I believe in it! Because my mother passed away 2 mins after I turned 13 , like she waited for me to turn 13 she wanted to be there with me.. It's amazing isn't it?? I'm sorry for your loss :-( but on the other hand heaven gained !

I'm sorry for your loss :( My mother is still alive but she is an addict and not really in the picture. My dad, who I was extremely close to and lived by myself with, died tragically 3 years ago. Had a sad day a little while ago. Was thinking to myself how he won't be able to meet his first and possibly only grandchild. It breaks my heart every time I think about it, but the love I have for my baby and husband gives me the strength to keep my head up and be grateful for who I have in my life.

I know my father played a part in blessing me with this baby too, because I'm due in 2014. My father was a professional firefighter and his union badge number was 14. The number has followed me ever since his passing, and it makes me feel as if he's still with me :)

I'm 22 and I lost my mom to Multiple Sclerosis this year in January. I had a miscarriage last year when she was alive in December. This year when I found out I was pregnant, I found out my due date was her birthday :) I know she had something to do with it. She wanted to be a grandmother so badly. Just know that your mother is always with you, no matter what. ?

Reading over all of your story's girls is just making me ball my eyes out lol (with hormones hay wire!!) I am so sorry for all of those who lost their moms, no matter how much time has passed it still feels like yesterday when we all had our mothers there for support. And that's something you never forget. Wether you had a great bond or a not so good one there's always a little memory or flashback that appears and makes you feel humble..my heart goes out to all the strong ladies that are going through their pregnancy's without their mommas!!! We are all mommy's now and it's our turn to take over that great role and make new memories, while remembering the old amazing ones of course from our past..and to the girl that said there is a piece of your mom in you that is totally right! Sometimes I forget because I'm caught up in grief.

And to the girls that still have their moms and either they don't get to see them or don't have any contact or relationship I can't even imagine. In my mind I believe it's worse to have a mother and have nothing to do with her because that is such a struggle and to imagine having a mother and always wanting a relationship that you've never had is just heart wrenching so my heart goes out to you all.

Your story's all touched my heart and I pray that you all have a healthy pregnancy and just remember that our mothers are their in spirit ... And I hope that one day those that have mothers and aren't reconciled due to whatever the situation may be...I wish you all happiness !

Wether we are first time moms or have multiple children we all live and learn something from our childhood and we are stronger from it!

I lost my mom 1.5 years ago. Got my first BFP this weekend. I was so sad not to be able to call her and tell her. :( It sucks really. Luckily, I do love my MIL.

I'm really truly sorry for your lost. I lost both my parents when I was 4 years old aside from my parents not being there for anything during my childhood, I am now pregnant with my first baby and it's tearing me apart. I wish she could be here guiding me, I wish she was there guiding me throughout my life but she wasn't and she isn't but I know deep in my heart that my lost has made me stronger mentally and emotionally, it's something I want to pass on to my baby as well. I just hope you don't feel like you are ever alone because even though she's gone you carry her inside yourself.

Well I lost my mother at the age of 4 not to death my mother is somewhere breathing but she couldnt handle losing a child at 3 months and then having me a year later. She made the choice to leave and im grateful that I had a responsible dad. So now that I will be a ftm @29 well 30 all kinds of things have ran through my head but I will never understand her pain she went through. She tried reaching out a few years back but I just couldn't I tried but it felt superficial. I pray that you ladies are ok and im glad to know that your mother made her way to you after 12 years your very lucky

I lost mom to colon cancer, almost three years ago. It was a long battle. Although I try to focus on knowing she is no longer in pain, not a day goes that I wouldnt give a day off my own life to have one more of hers. Of course, being preggo magnifies these times. Becoming a mommy and missing our own. Sending you lots of hugs!

Rainbow~I'm sure you will figure it out! I am sure not being near your mom takes some kind of toll on you, especially during your pregnancy. Your really blessed to have your mom, no matter how any miles away. A phone call or a text is sometimes all you need to feel more at home remember that! Congrats on your pregnancy! Wish you the best

I kind of am doing this without my mom but at the same time I'm not. She lives over 500 miles away so she's not there when I need a hug but I can text her whenever I need to. My SO promised we'd move to where she is by January but I'm worried it won't happen. We all need our moms and it sucks not being around them. I can't even imagine the pain you guys go through without your mom like that. I'm sorry for your losses.

Kissy! I am sorry for your loss, it definitely is tough, little things like having to ask your dad about your moms pregnancy and asking questions..my dad wasn't sure about half of what I asked him! So I went to my Gmom ('y moms, mom) and she is 83 and doesn't really remember all details anymore so it does upset me that there are questions unanswered but I believe that we are all so strong and will rise above the sadness that has came into our lives years ago! Our moms are proud even though they may not be able to tell us...I was very lucky to have that dream! I was crying one night and wished that I could have some sign that she was here, and my prayer was answered and at the most important time too! I wish you all the best and congrats on being a FTM !!!!

I'm sorry about your mom and although I am not in the situation you are facing, reading this post makes me want to call my mom and apologize because I got on her case about trying to control me and my decisions but I know she is trying to help. After all I'm only 18 and I don't know everything. I wish you the best and I believe that you will do fine as a ftm good luck and thanks for helping me see from a different point. I am thankful for my mom and thankful I saw your post ❤

This is my first pregnancy and my mother past away when i was 9 years old. I get sad when i think about how much i miss her and how unfair life was/is for taking her away from me at such a young age. I miss not having that mother to expectant daughter support. I wish she was here supporting me and guiding me trough this pregnancy. Unlike you i have not had a dream with my mother; i wish!! I miss not knowing things about my birth like if i was full term or did she had any complications. I feel lucky to be able to remember my as a beautiful young women with a good heart.
