HUH. I'M CONFUSED....
So, the red patch on my son's cheek is not ringworm but eczema? His doctor said it's uncommon for babies to get it and told me to stop using the ointment prescribed to him and prescribed some other cream for it. He also told me that if it gets more red in color than it IS ringworm. ?? But the patch has gotten bigger so idk what to think or believe.

What's the new ointment? How long have you been using it? My LO had eczema on his cheek too and his pedi suggested hydrocortisone. It cleared up within a few days.

Told ya it wasn't ringworm ?
Apply hydrocortisone to the area twice a day and also try aveeno eczema therapy lotion (or something similar) and some Vaseline or aquaphor healing ointment to seal in the moisture

@ek, my doc told me everything @ail said! It's hydrocortisone, just prescription.

Just so you know- ringworm will fluoresce under a black light. That's how you can verify iif it is or isn't. And I mean it will light up green!
