Well it kind of drys out and comes off, that almost looks infected. The colour of the oozing stuff looks wrong.

It looks ok to me ... Maybe take a damp cloth or wipe and clean the outer part a bit... I've always used alcohol but I know some don't like to do that...

Idk maybe I'd call the doctor?

Definitely clean it with alcohol. I cleaned my daughters every diaper change.

Ds kind of looked like this. I cleaned it multiple times a day with a washcloth but it had a really funky smell. He had his new born appointment about a week after he was born and the doctor cleaned it and ended up just taking it off. He said that I wasn't necessarily infected, but it I hadn't cleaned it so often, it would've been in pretty bad shape

Kind of looks like what my daughter had. It was a granuloma. Nothing to worry about, just needed sterile wipes

I would give the pedi a call to be safe.

I think it looks normal too. Just keep it clean and dry.

It looks ok to me. Looks like it needs to be wiped with an alcohol swab. With all 3 of my boys dr had me clean it with rubbing alcohol on a q-tip 3x a day. Ds3 is 14 weeks and when he was born the dr said something about new studies show that its not required to use alcohol anymore, but then 2 different delivery nurses told me that in their opinion I should do it. Just dip a q-tip in alcohol and wipe around the edge carefully.

My last DS's did this. I mentioned it at his 2 week check up. Dr said it looked normal, but told me to clean it out at diaper changes, with a qtip soaked in alcohol. It dried up completely on about the 3rd day of that. The alcohol dries it out and disinfects. Just be sure to do your best to keep it in his button. It can irritate his skin otherwise

His doctor never called me back but I am buying some alcohol and going to clean it up for now.
