Why pay for your kids when working people can? ?

Wow I don't even know what to say to that pp. That's just a very sad and lazy reason to have kids.

Someone in my MIL's building had kids from 4 different men and gets gov't assistance. People that personally know her have said she did it on purpose so she doesn't have to work. It's sad. Mostly because she kind of abused the system.

To each their own. Personally, I would have daily anxiety attacks if I couldn't support my kids. But, that's just me.

Everyone has different values, priorities, dreams, motivations, goals, situations, circumstances, etc. I ain't judging. ?‍♀️

One of my best friends friend is like this she already had 2 kids it should be 6 or 7 but she's had several abortions. She started dating the maintenance man I used the term dating loosely they have never been on a actual date they have unprotected sex in the vacant apartments or on a blow up bed in his car. She started hinting she wanted a baby shortly after I got pregnant she's only known this man 3 months she worked there and got fired a month ago for not taking it seriously. She got mad when my best friend told her about herself and basically said she was stupid if she really got pregnant by this man she just met. She got mad and they aren't friends anymore but she stalks all mine and her social media accounts ? I'm pretty sure she's pregnant again She may or may not keep it because like I said she's known for getting pregnant then getting abortions when the guy doesn't support her enough or want that kid.

They're crazy. I was a 20 year old sophomore in college when I had my daughter- broke as hell. I struggledddd. It was not fun, not enjoyable. It was stressful, even with government assistance. Ends were met and we made it into much better circumstances but I COULD NOT imagine wanting another while I was going through the struggle. We found out we were pregnant this summer, 6 years later and I still would have preferred waiting a little longer. Ttc while struggling seems so silly to me.

Sadly I know so many who do this. I don't get it and can't wrap my head around it. Sure! I'd love to struggle and stress out about how I'm going to feed my kid, and get him diapers and wipes and clothes. Seriously who TRIES to live that way??

I have a family member like that!! Trying for her 4th when she can't take care of the ones she's got. Lost custody of 2 of them in fact. But sure make another when you can't even pay rent or get car insurance ?

Sometimes people just need a motivation in life a baby is a wake up call to some and some do better under pressure. It's the best way but all that matters is they get there s*** together

Wordddd. A girl I went to high school with just had a baby. Of course it's advertised as an "accident", meanwhile, every second post from her for the last 2 years have been "oh baby fever is real, I can't wait to have babies" blah blah blah. ACCIDENT MY AUNT FANNY..

also her baby daddy just got off of house arrest ... she doesn't have a license or car, and they just moved in together . Ya I don't get it, just feel sorry for the kid ! I guess sometimes it can change a person and their priorities but maybe that should be the case BEFORE you decide to reproduce..

Can I just say this one thing! I completely agree with what your saying BUT! I've seen this first hand my sister and her boyfriend had no jobs and were living at his parents house. I had just had my first baby and they decided they wanted a baby so they tried right away and got pregnant the first try. Throughout the pregnancy her boyfriend got a job in the union and she became a sahm they got there own very nice apartment and they are making good money and are all very happy. I think they just needed a little motivation in life. I understand this isn't the same for everyone but you never know anyone's true story

Me and one of my bffs get into it about this ALL the time. Even though it's really none of my business bc it's her life. BUT, they have 3 girls (8,4,& 2), 3 Bassett hound dogs, she has had one job her entire 28 years of being alive, her husband is a marine and does his one weekend a month on base, he also works at a nuclear plant. The way that he talks to her and demeans her is HORRIBLE! She has sent me NUMEROUS screenshots of their texts where he says he DESERVES to be treated like the GOD THAT HE IS AND NOT A PEASANT! Seriously! They have their 3 girls but want a boy. She just had a pregnancy scare and he said if she is pregnant he's filing for divorce bc the Chinese calendar says it would be another girl. They are over 5 months behind in their rent, he has a cell phone plan and she has a prepaid so he can monitor her minutes, she has a vehicle that isn't reliable and breaks down a lot which isn't good for her since the kids. Their electric keeps getting shut off, ran out of heating oil and he said "oh well bundle up I don't have money to buy fuel". She looked at the bank statements and found out he has a secret credit card. A girl we grew up with adopted her kids for Christmas and asked for a list of things they would like, she gave her a list where the items totaled almost $200 for EACH child! THEN she posted on Facebook about a NEW YEARS GIFT!!! The 2 year old got a trampoline, 4 year old got a new bike, and 8 year old got a prepaid cell phone! Seriously?!?! You can't afford anything not even food, but you're going to get your kids NEW YEARS GIFTS! Her 8 year olds choir teacher asked the mom to stay after the concert and gave her a card with a $300 Walmart gift card from faculty putting money in to give them. This is only part of what is going on and she's STILL trying for another baby. When she found out that I am expecting a boy, she got so mad and jealous! Ugh.

I know so many people like this and when I call them out on it they look at me like I'm crazy. I tried telling them but most end up pregnant and in horrible situations. I can't say s*** anymore since I got pregnant by accident while on government assistance tho lol
