"HER BEST FRIEND'S HUSBAND"

"HER BEST FRIEND'S HUSBAND"

Would you ladies ever forgive your best friend if she had fallen in love with your husband AFTER you got a divorce with him? I was watching a lifetime movie about a lady's best friend falling in love with her husband. I don't think I would ever forgive my "best friend" for doing so. That's just wrong and disgusting to me.

My best friend has gone after every guy I've ever dated and they all ignored her because the guys found it disrespectful to me ? I actually found it kind of hilarious.

Not sure I'd care honestly. I work with the girl that married my ex fiancé lmao. I have no hate towards her even tho I didn't really like her when I knew her years ago. I know what hell she deals with being with him. She can have him all she wants, I got my perfect man now anyway.

My grandmother's best friend offered to marry my grandfather after my grandmother passed away. Not for love but to be a mother figure to my mom and uncles.

My grandfather declined and married the woman he was cheating with while my grandmother was dying of cancer. ?

Then my grandfather found Jesus. Again.

I wouldn't be able to remain friends but I would understand it. Because that's my story. My now partner and myself were mutual friends through our long term partners. I didn't like my now partner at all previous to this, never had a thought in my head. When our relationships broke down, we somehow fell in love. We have been together 6years now and have 2 children together. My best friend and his best friend have never forgiven us and I don't blame them, even though his ex was cheating on him which I knew about and my ex was abusive we still had all the guilt for a while, we lost that whole circle of friends but I couldn't imagine being without him and I wouldn't go back and change it.

I guess I'm the odd one out..It really surprises me how many people say they wouldn't care, but that's just because I know that I would care and I can't imagine me not caring. Regardless of the situation its someone I was with and made memories with, and obviously someone who broke my heart in some way. For a best friend to even be around him enough to "fall in love" is disrespectful and I'd be finding a new best friend.

I dont see why she would. I would only leave if cheating or abuse were the problems. If she fell for that, she can have him ??

Nope

No best friend of mine would be stupid enough to take my sloppy seconds.

That's too close for comfort..I'd wish you the absolute best and let our friendship rest in peace lol

I don't see why I'd care...

If we are divorced then there's no problem...

In my mind if your upset about it then that means that your not over him...

The only thing I can think of that would make me upset about my best friend and him getting together is if he cheated on me with her and that's what lead to the divorce... But then she wouldn't be my best friend anymore anyway.

Yes you can't help who you fall in love with but why should anyone be in the position to fall in love with their best friends ex? Doesn't really make sense to me. That's not a best friend. Sorry

My cousin did this to her best friend. She was trusted around her husband and she would even encourage them to go out to the clubs so she would keep an eye on him. Welp.. She got pregnant on purpose, he got a divorce after 14yrs and 5kids. Lets say my cousin is as miserable as can be and her relationship is torn. Moral of the story, karmas a betch and you get what you deserve.

Nope. Girl code.

I know a couple that swapped spouses. They are all best friends and happy as can be. I still can't wrap my head around it.

I would laugh and bring up something embarrassing habit he has, like being horrible at dirty talk or something. Then laugh and tell her to enjoy that. ?✌

deleted-user

No usually when I'm done with someone I'm already at the point that I don't care and I just would feel sorry for the person he ends up with ?

Can I buy a vowel to go with my "F"?

My mil and fil broke up when my dh was about 15. He took 2 of his sons with him to Minnesota while my dh, his oldest brother , and youngest brother stayed in California.

Their dad came back a year later and my mil thought he wanted a reconciliation but nope. He took my mil's best friend , who has lived with them for years, back to Minnesota as his new wife.

Kinda feel sorry for her but she is still a b*tch though.

The woman was trying to help their marriage work but it failed and the wife's daughter caught the woman and her father kissing which led her to tell her mother. I agree as well that you can't help who you fall in love with, but its shady when you fall in love with a man while trying to help his marriage work with your friend. The friend was a widowed wife and still trying to coupe with the loss of her husband as well which has to be hard to deal with. I couldn't imagine being in their shoes or going through any of that.

I went to school with this girl who married her befriends husband when her best friend died. She took mother figure of her best friends kids and had more kids with him. Which I thought was awful since the girl died in a tragic way. And two months after she died they were together.

I think it would depend on the reason for the divorce. If he was abusive or cheated then I'd probably be angry. If it was amicable then I'd probably be ok with it.

deleted-user

deleted-user

If they were honest with me, I think I'd be okay with it. I believe in soul mates, and if they're meant to be together, I wouldn't stand in the way of that.

Must be some slim picking if she has to have my sloppy seconds.

deleted-user

deleted-user

No way she would know all his dirt. Zero chanches she wants him. Lol

deleted-user

deleted-user

No way. She'd be dead to me. There are billions of people in the world to choose from.

deleted-user

deleted-user

No I wouldn't. There's plenty of men out there, if she was my best friend she wouldn't even think of it.

Presumably an ex wouldn't care if he hurt me, but she should.

deleted-user

deleted-user

I don't know if I'd care. He's an ex for a reason. Plus if she was truly my best friend, she probably would have gotten earfuls of what led up to the divorce. So if she wants to deal with that.... Good luck to her. ??

Not pregnancy/baby related:

Not pregnancy/baby related: What would you do if you saw a message on your husbands FB from his ex gf that's says "Omg I didn't know you two were dating. My old best friend and my long lost love lol. Married. With a baby. Crazy congrats screaming from the rooftops." Along with a friend request. I deleted the message lol and here's why. Why would she message him and not me? Her and I were best friends in Jr. High School. Don't message and add my husband and not me. It's shady as hell. Period!
