Actually they are different. Heavy whipping cream is for whipping, like whipped topping. I can't use that in certain recipes. The end product is awful and whipped, example, copycat olive garden alfredo sauce. I've tried several times now.
Recipe! I did tweak it some though. I used sour cream instead of heavy cream (no store around me sells heavy cream, only heavy whipping cream). And I cooked it for an hour and a half with the oven on and another hour and a half with the oven off. Mine did crack a bit at the top, but not noticeable with the pecan topping. Can't wait to eat this tomorrow!
