I use the hot water trick too. Tommy tippie has this flask that comes with a cover that can hold the bottle for you to warm it. I'll share it in a thread. I use that.
That was clever what you did Amanda. For me, in order to avoid these situations I never heated his bottles. He's always taken formula at room temp or cold from the cooler. You guys are slick though!
If I go out to eat I ask the restaurant for a hot cup of water. If I know I'm gonna be out, not go out to eat, and not go to a friends house I usually just give her the boob.
We went out shopping today. Put some milk in a cooler bag and when we were ready to feed her, we got a cup of hot water from the grocery store and used that. I fed her, her bottle in the backseat of the car. It worked!
Husbands armpit! ? haha! For the most part I bring ready to feed formula and sterilized bottles when we are on the go. If I have milk in the cooler bag I try to time it so it warms up just by sitting at room temp for a little while. They do make travel warmers but they take a long time..

Breastmilk actually doesn't need to be warmed, so if bub will drink it cold then no worries.

Is it breastmilk? Otherwise I used to just carry bottled water that was room temperature and make the bottles while out

I breastfeed too, but also pump bottles for my mom and fiance, and when we are out. I won't BF in public ;)
