I talk to my son. I try to tell him words.. he has said "I good"... but I haven't introduced any toys to him yet. And it's hard to lay him on his play mat because his 15 month old sister likes to throw things :(

I most talk to her she now stays up for a good amount of hours so I walk her around I take her outside witch she loves and especially loves when I hold her off the shoulder. I tell her stories about when I found I was pregnant and stuff like that I've been doing the More & All done for sign language so hopefully at 6 months she can do those basic two ones

We have a pretty inexpensive musical light up toy that he will look at. Baby Einstein take along musical toy - available on Amazon and target. It's small enough for the diaper bag!

I have been trying to show him black and white books. Go figure he likes the free one from the hospital. I've also noticed he will focus on contrast around our home. Dark curtains on a light wall in the living room, dark blanket on light sheets in our room. He will talk to that blanket. That's where we try tummy time.

I also sing to him but he just stares at me when I do that!

We read books and do a lot of singing with hand motions. I'm in the process of trying to enroll him in an early education program. They do home visits and bring different activities weekly. See what's available in your community. We all want to be good parents and sometimes we need outside help to figure it out. Also checkout play groups I'm doing one through our library.

He plays on his playmat for atleast an hour day because he loves it, there's a dangling octopus he is obsessed with. If its nice out we chill outside. Hes not really a napper, maybe 30 minutes to an hour at a time with 2- 3 hours in between so during downtime to relax we read, and I talk and sing to him to keep him from getting over stimulated. For visual and auditory sensory I found a great contrasting color/image video with classical music he really focuses on and for tactile sensory he has multiple different textured chewies he likes hold and gum at.

ETA: hes currently 7 weeks. he'll be 2 months on the 26th.

I have actually been showing my little girl pictures of her ultrasounds since they're black and white. She loves them! I actually taped one up on the rail of her crib so when I change her she stares at it. It's so cute!

My boy is three weeks so still sleeps quite a bit but when he is awake we cuddle and I talk to him, we play music and dance, and we show him black and white toys and books and explain what he is seeing. We also go for short walks around the neighborhood for fresh air. For anyone looking for infant toys, my son loves the manhattan toy company infant toys. They're all black and white or colors they're able to see. You can get them on amazon :)

Yep same. Baby is more alert in morning so if I get to this is when we do play mat or chair with hanging animals. But mostly talking singing walking.

Same here. Jack is finally starting to look around more (5weeks old today).

I try to do tummy time throughout the day, but he hasn't been liking it lately. We don't have many toys either. And none that light up or make sound either. We do have a play gym a family member got for us. I laid him on the mat today and he seemed to show some interest in the toys hanging down. But other than that, I guess I don't know how to play with him. I read to him when he's awake, but most of the time he starts crying almost as soon as I start. I play a variety of music too and I'm trying to get in the habit of just talking to him or dancing around with him when I'm holding or wearing him.

I talk to my daughter a lot and tell her what I'm doing. If I'm changing her, I tell her as I go. Same with bath time and going on walks. She's starting to coo and make such sweet sounds. Our 10 yr old son talks to her a lot as well.

I do basically the same you do. I do talk to her a lot. I've read a few books but not daily. She has toys but has no interest at this point and probably won't till about 3 months.

All work and no play. I feel the same.

No input but I feel like I'm doing the same too
