Wyatt had one on his umbilical cord! Apparently that's a very unusual place for one so they didn't know what it was, it looked like a growth. When he was just about an hour old a pediatric surgeon came and cut off most of the cord so they could send it to pathology. We were very relieved to find out he was just a weird baby with a birth mark on his cord!! ?

She's so beautiful! ❤️

My son has a hemangioma on his chest. It only got the size of maybe a quarter, it eventually fades, my son is almost two and it's faded a lot. Don't worry about it, it'll go away one day!

@Amanda- Nadya's is on her front hair line, depending how much more it grows-may or may not be seen. My neighbor did say there is cream that helps it diminish..I know nothing about it yet, just was told what it was yesterday. Yes kids are mean-but they'll always find something to tease about, we just have to raise our kids to accept themselves. My oldest daughter is being bullied because she has dark skin-I've always told her that it doesn't matter about her skin colour-people will always find something to be hurtful about. It's worrisome as parents I know.

Shari, thank you so much!! I just worry that it will get worse. Its very bumpy and raised, and its warm to the touch. I hope it dont affect her vision, by not being able to see over it. I also hope it goes away by the time she is in school. Kids can be so mean! Hers started off as a little dot too. I actually thought it was a tiny scratch. Where is your daughters?? On her head? Well at least her hair will cover it up.

I had one on the back of my shoulder that went away completly around age 11. It only got to be the size of a quarter. I'm actually surprised neither of my boys got one. Probably because I'm weird but I think it's kinda cute.

@ Amanda-yes you're right that's what it's called....my neighbor seen my daughters yesterday and said this term "hemangiomas" and I was like "what??" I always knew them as strawberry birthmark as well. Google says it's the same thing. My neighbors son has one and said apparently they go away by age 9 and we can get cream to help but that's just for cosmetic reasons cause they're not any harm. I just noticed my daughter starting last week, appeared as a small dot-now bigger...

I actually like where your daughters is, it's a definite beauty mark! Gosh she's so pure and pretty!!
