FATHER'S DAY COMING UP!!!

My husband's 40th birthday happens to be on Father's Day this year so I went all out and got us floor seat tickets to a Metallica concert at Soldier Field (Chicago Bears stadium) downtown Chicago.

I'm then throwing him a party the following Saturday on our Farm. We have over 50 people coming including over 20 kids (God help me! ?).

For my boyfriend's first father's day last year I dressed my daughter in one of his shirts and took pictures of her holding the letters "D" and "A." Then I printed out 2 of the D photos and one A photo, got 3 picture frames, and laid them out on the table. The end result is her spelling out the word Dad. Super easy and cheap! You could use wooden letters, or what I did was just draw the letters on old cardboard, cut them out, and paint them.

I might get him a picture frame and put a picture of him and the baby in it and get him a card

Got my hubby a card and a guitar pick that says 'OUR DAD ROCKS' on it. I'm excited to see him open it. He has a special song that he made up and plays for our daughter. Looking forward to see what he comes up with for our son.

I also picked out different things for grandpa's. Those all have some kind of saying with hand and foot prints.

My stepdad always calls the girls his monsters so his will say "papaws little monsters" and I'll turn their prints into monsters.

Their great grandpa's will say "hooked on baba" lennox's footprint will be the fishing pole and Charleighs hand will be the fish.

Pintrest has so many ideas for hand or foot print crafts that would just cost you the paper or canvas and paint

My husband loves golf and is getting into it more and more so I'm gifting him with a few lessons at our local golf course. He's been talking about getting lessons so I'm super excited to get that for him

Definitely dinner and I was just thinking of setting up a little photo shoot of my own for the two of them. My husband loves pictures and collages so I think it'll be great. Now onto thinking up photo shoot props and ideas ?

I'm not sure what Lennox is going to give him. But charleigh, our 20 month old, is going to paint a canvas. I'm going to put stickers that say " I love my daddy" on it before she paints then peel the stickers off when it dries

I cook for him every father's day. I'm a picky eater so it's his one day a year he gets whatever he wants even if I don't eat it. This is his first ever biological father's day so I'm probably gonna get him a gift too.

I impulse bought a shirt a while back that has a race track on the back. Hubby loves a good back rub. The idea is little man can run a car around daddy's back when he is old enough. I thought it was a good daddy/son bonding activity. I also plan on writing a super sappy note about how much I appreciate him the last few weeks.

I didn't want to spend much either. I found a cute keychain on Etsy (18.00) that says stay safe daddy and has the kids names on it. Perfect for his job as a reminder.

Pinterest has tons of cute ideas. I thought about doing the homemade clay and their hand prints or even making a cute picture of the kids with signs that's say we love daddy.

Great ideas ladies!!! I do plan on doing something with some pictures. I took some very cute ones a few weeks ago while he was gone. Gonna get some printed. I like the letter idea!

I got a picture frame that says #1 dad on it and will put a pic of him and the baby in it. I also bought a cute book that can be theirs to read together. I am also giving him a gift card to a local driving range bc he loves to golf. You don't need much or any money at all. Just be thoughtful and make it from the baby. I planned to get a really nice watch but of course lack of funds make that a ridiculous idea at the moment. Look up ideas on Pinterest for homemade Father's Day cards/books and you'll find a ton of cute stuff.

I bought hubby the new iPad he had been wanting one I'm not the one to cook a nice romantic dinner or anything I have too much going on lol plus I'm not that of a good cook

My husband just purchased a 48" tv...so I told him that's his Fathers Day gift. I won't be able to spend any money on him so I'll just do a romantic dinner at home that day...that's about it!!!

So this may be kinda lame but I plan on writing out a letter saying how great of a father he has already been in the past month, and letting him know how much I appreciate everything he's done to help me out- not just with our son but making sure I'm recovering well and doing all the errands I would normally do. I try to let him know on a daily basis how much everything he does means to me but sometimes it's hard for me to fully express my feelings so writing it all out in a letter will be pretty meaningful. We're tight on money too so I'm not really able to go buy much for him
