lets be real.....
Csections f*** ing suck!!! OMG!! The recovery I'm enduring is TERRIBLE!!! I just wanna cry. As a matter of fact, Ive cried 4 times already today.
Btw I don't believe it's worse because you tried to deliver naturally first. Don't feel responsible for that. I didn't labor at all with my daughter, it was planned and I still suffered badly and for a long time. My recovery was hell. Sometimes major abdominal surgery is just bad. It's not your fault.
Ehh motherhood. I remember recovery after my first. Breastfeeding sucked and was painful, i tore down there and i couldnt stand or sit to feed my newborn. Its definitely not easy but it will get better.
I believe it took me about 4 weeks to be on some sort of schedule. I ended up getting mastitis in my left breast; and because of that, i ended up exclusively pumping for a year. Hang in there.. i know the major hormone drop doesnt help either.. i cried all the time for like a month.
I hear ya Hun!!! My first baby came by c-section and as I've shared before it was a horrendous experience. It must have to do with being in labor for hours and exhausted and then to have to endure a section...because my second two sections were planned and they were a breeze, such a beautiful experience. Phew...bringing me back to the pain of that first section-I was so miserable too and in pain and my pictures show it!! I had family members commenting on my pictures saying I should have been happy considering I just had a baby...
? thinking of you
Aww Mama they do suck! I don't know what meds they are giving you. The only thing that really helped my pain was 800mg of Motrin or ibuprofen. My c-section is next Wednesday and I'm so nervous about the pain. And in my experience I can agree with a pp that said they are so much worse if you've been induced first. My scheduled section was not as bad as my emergency.
Only pain schedule I'm on is ibuprofen 800 once every 8 hours, and a percocet once every 4 hours. I just wish i didn't have to wait 4 hours for a percocet. Or had better pain meds. Ugh.
Then its the feedings. My gosh!! She wants to nurse constantly!! I was gonna only pump, but i couldnt get anything out and she needs to eat. Once milk come in, i will pump. But now, she is so demanding with the feedings. I think i only got 2 hours of sleep last night. Im trying to recover so i can be the best mom ever, and its very hard when im handed the baby every hour to nurse. Which is fine. Not babys fault at all.
I just need some time to adjust to this all.
Aww! I know how you feel. I already had 2 and gonna have my 3rd c-section next week. Just remember to keep up with your pain meds. I was stubborn with my first and really paid for it. Take it easy when doing stuff and hopefully you'll have some sort of abdominal binder (that helped me out a lot!) Praying you'll have a fast recovery!!! ??
The recovery of emergency c-sections is worse then planned, because of the labouring exhaustion beforehand. Your poor stomach muscles have been to hell and back.
Recovery is ten times better if you stick to the medication schedule for at least the first week or two. Then you should be able to ease off, and get some normalcy back.
Wishing you all the best in your recovery. Xoxox.
They truly are so horrible. I had one with my son and trying for a VBAC this time but I remember exactly how you feel. I had 5 days of labour, 4 nights in hospital after my son was born and then I got home and couldn't even managed to get into my bed because it was too high so I slept on the sofa for a week. I just remember feeling pure frustration and exhaustion. I promise it gets better ! 2 weeks and youll be feeling more human xx
I'm with you mama. The first day was fine but I've had to request my Percocet twice. I'm miserable this pain sucks ? walking helps but at the same time moving is torture so either way it sucks lol. I told my husband to have the biggest glass of moscato ever waiting on me when I get home lol I hope you feel better soon.
Sorry! The only pain I had was when I sneezed...
