I have had like 3 or 4 this pregnancy because my babies umbilical cord has a defect. They just do an ultrasound and measure the bones in the legs, arms head and then the stomach and then calculate that to give you a percentile of where your baby lies and then an estimated weight
Little man was 5 lbs 12 oz at 33 weeks, give or take a half a lb, my next growth scan is 2 weeks from now at 37 weeks. I'm scared to see how big he will be then. Ha
What do they do exactly to see how big they are? by ultrasound?? My last was 9.3, and I feel like this one may be 10lbs. Hopefully they can measure me Friday to see how big he is!
I think the only reason they gave me one was to get an idea since I'm at risk for preeclampsia. But it is nice to know an estimate. Makes me feel more prepared ?
Gosh my boy feels big too lol. I've never had a growth scan either but I wouldn't doubt that he may be the biggest. In actuality, I'm just being a baby about how achy he is making me lol.
I just can't wait to see all these beautiful babies!! I was sent to l&d today for my blood pressure and I was like nooooo I want an October baby ? but as long as he is healthy!
Mine is about the same. They told me 7.4 pounds but she is measuring in the 80% for everything so she's not considered big. Plus it's just an estimate. Those things are rarely right

My doctor said no more ultrasounds for me :( they only do 2! One to confirm pregnancy and one to find out gender!

Estimate weight for my girl at 34wks is 5lbs 14oz. But that give or take 14oz she said But in 70th percentile so we are not to bad lol
