Mirena all the way. It will be my third one. First one I had for 2 years, took it out and got pg the next month. Second one I had for 5.5 years, took it out and was pg within 6 months. With both, after the first three months of having it in, I had no periods at all for the duration. Works like a charm.

I'm looking into mirena iud for myself after birth. Doc said she could put it in 6 weeks after I deliver. I like that it delivers a lower amt of hormones directly into the uterus and you can use it while breastfeeding.

Nothing but condoms until I'm six months or so. I took the pill before and it worked great but I don't like the idea of after making my body go hormone crazy from being pregnant just ingesting a BC pill that's going to throw me out of whack too. I need to recover. :).

The shot so I can still breastfeed. I'd do so bad trying to take the pill every day, the shot just seems easier every 3 months rather than every day.

The implanon is implanted in your arm not the uterus, I'm also scared of the uterine ones!!

I'm getting my tubes tied after this one. I was on the pill the first 2 times I got pregnant and I got and IUD after my son was born worked great I loved it

I refuse to get any if the implants, something about a side effect being "may tear through the uterine wall" kills it for me lol and I can't take the pill due to hormone issues anyways. So hubby is gonna have to suck it up and use condoms!

The implanon worked for birth control for me but I hated the Moody and spotting all the time side effects it did nothing for my acne either I think the pill or just condoms while breastfeeding

I don't trust myself with pills ? I'll definitely have to ask my doctor about the breastfeeding though!

I just googled the implanon and it sounds pretty good! I'll have to look more into for sure. Thank you ladies!

I've heard the mini pill is the only one you can take while breastfeeding! I'm personally not using birth control other then condones, the hormones just make me crazy and I know my ovulation schedule well enough to just use the fertility awareness method!

I'm trying to find one that has very limited hormones, especially because I want to breastfeed.

I've been on the depo before, it made me so moody. I didn't have any symptoms while on it but the after affects were horrible :(

Nothing will work for me. I was on the pill when I got pregnant, so my doctor told me that I'm very fertile and even condoms won't work as well for me as they do for other people :S kinda annoying. I gotta be extra careful after lil one is born

I need some but I can't find a kind that works with my body. My body don't do well with extra hormones so we will see what happens
