I’m concerned about the amount of milk my Lo is getting. I have never had an abundant milk supply but he gained while I exclusively breastfed so I just assumed all was good. He’s been having solids since he was just shy of 6 months per my doctor- and he is approaching 8 months now. He absolutely loves food, purée or our own food softened and cut up... I was reading that he should be getting 24 oz of milk still and I highly doubt that is the case; I’d guess we are closer to 18-20. I just pumped after 5 hours and only got 3 oz. He still nurses anywhere between 6-8 times a day (twice at night). I can only assume that he is satisfied because of the solids he is getting. I start school in less than 2 weeks and I am frustrated because I really wanted to make it the whole year without having to supplement. I don’t even know what I’m looking for? Maybe some input as to whether what we have going on right now is ok or if he should be getting some formula bottles?
Exactly what @tapwater said! My son is almost 7 months and ebf. He’s a pretty chunky guy yet when I pump I only get about an ounce combined. Some women just don’t do well with a pump. If you’re planning on being away I’d continue to pump but also buy some back up formula in case he needs it while you’re gone. Remember to have whoever’s with him pacefeed!
Baby always does better at the breast than the pump does. Your LO is very likely getting enough milk when he nurses. 👍🏻

I just found out I’m having twins!!❤️❤️
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
When can I start giving my son regular milk? He turns 10 months in 2 days. I bought unsweetened almond milk yesterday so he can try. Would that be okay? I’m lowkey tired of him on formula but I mean he’s still a baby lol.
So my little boy is almost 11 months and i know how quickly time flys.. so..
Should he be off bottles complelty by one!?
Should he have milk in a cup instead?
Is it cows milk at 1?
How much milk does he need at 1?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
@rachel1029, Yeah don’t go by the pump. Different pumps produce different amounts and even something like massage will get more milk. The more solid food your baby eats the less milk is being consumed and your body adjusts accordingly. However the composition of your milk changes and even though you may be producing less it’ll have a higher fat content.
