Sick kiddos are the worst
My son has a fever since yesterday, headache, sore throat, and won’t eat much. Urgent care said it’s viral, not strep, and to give him fluids and ibuprofen. He was so miserable, he curled in my lap and took a nap in the waiting room! He took a nice hot bath and got in bed once we were home. I just wish I could make him feel better NOW.

Ugh, he DOES have strep! They said they don’t treat types C and G, that they resolve on their own. I’ve never heard of this before... I’ve heard of strep A and GBS but not C and G.
He’s 6! But he’s still my baby. I scooped him up and snuggled him. I’m sure the other people thought I was babying him, but he was just exhausted and wanted to rest.

My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...

Not sure if I'm being just mean or what. But my SO used $160 from me this morning. I gave him my bank card because he needed $60 to get material for work. I looked it up and everything I found said it’s not treated unless they retain a fever or get sicker, they sent in a prescription of amoxicillin if he gets worse by Friday, but he was back to himself yesterday after we stayed home for the day.
