I used cotton wool and warm water for the first meconium poo’s, then after that I’ve used water wipes and my LB has never had a nappy rash. I get mine on amazon subscribe and save each month as well as nappies and save a decent amount on them. ?
My bubby was born just over 3 weeks ago and in hospital I used cotton balls and water no problem... got home and I used baby wipes the proper sensitive ones then after a good few days she started to get a rash on her parts and bum, and she was clearly sore from it! So I went back to warm water and cotton pads then dab dry then cream :) xx
Water wipes are definitely more convenient but I find that my baby’s bum goes red when using water wipes unless I also use a cotton pad to make sure i dry it before putting the nappy on x
We used cotton wool and water for about 2 months, we got one pack of water wipes which we kept in the baby bag for when we were out they lasted about 2 months too ? we will be doing the same in September with our new little one x
I used waterwipes the 9 packs when my son was born in Jan and now we use pampers pure and he's been fine I prefer waterwipes and will be using them again in November with baby no.2
We used waters wipes from aroun 6m with ds and newborn with dd.. however at £19 for a box of 12.. and going through a box every 2 weeks.. I couldn't justify nearly £40 a month on wipes ? we tried mamia sensitive and both have been fine with them so we stuck to them.
Also.. the water wipes r so flipping
Cold compared to other wipes.. poor baby bottom!
I just used sensitive wipes from day 1, with all three of mine. I found it a pain trying to clean them with wool balls x
I used cotton wool and water for the first few weeks then water wipes and didn’t like them so switched to sensitive baby wipes I like pampers ones the best. You could always try cheeky wipes?
I must admit I used cotton wool and water as found it a lot easier with those first few really sticky poos xx
I also never bothered with cotton wool & water.. I used Asdas/aldis sensitive wipes from day one x
I only ever used water wipes from day 1 I never bothered with the cotton wool and water. My little boy has sensitive skin and even as a brand new baby they never hurt his skin at all. I would go for them for convenience definitely!xx
Is it better to use cotton wool and water first off with baby or water wipes?
Water wipes. Are they really safe to use on newborns? I don't want to go down the cotton wool n water root😧
baby wipes What age was your baby when you started using baby wipes when you changed their bum? I'm using cotton wool and warm water but just wondering for when we go out for the day what I'm going to do.. It's my fiances birthday in a few weeks and his dad is guna take us to monkey world.. do I just continue with cotton wool and just take a bottle of water to use or wipes :s ftm and a bit confused! Thankyou (: xx
What are people's opinions on using wipes on a new born? They recommend cotton balls and water as wipes aren't suitable until 2-4 weeks after birth? What did everyone else do?
Ran out of cotton pads and balls got loads of water wipes will it be okay to use so early?

I've used sensitive wipes since them both being born, neither of them have ever had a nappy rash until they got a little one from teething xx
