Last minuet freak out !!
Last minuet freak out !!
So with 4 days until my due date I'm really starting to freak out about the fact I may have to get induced and for some women this won't be a big deal as it's pretty much the same as if they were to go into labour on their own but for me it's a huge deal as I have chosen to give birth in my local midwife ran maturnity unit.. In this unit everything is privet from the moment u go into hospital at 3-4CM to leaving with your baby you have your own privet room with your own bathroom and never have to go onto a ward with other woman.. Partners can stay overnight for as long as your in there for and you also get your own midwife which only cares for you and no other woman so if you wanted her there for literally every second ( depending on shift changes) she can be and to me the idea of this sounds absolutely amazing. The only down side to this is that if you need an emergency C-section you have to go by ambulance to another hospital for it and you can't get an epidural not being able to have the epi dosent really bother me as I'm terrified of it anyway, but if I need to be induced I have to go to the larger hospital and I know this may sound like I'm being stupid but I don't want to share a room with X amount of woman having their babies wake me up as well as my own baby I want to have my own privacy with my partner to be able to get to know our son.. It's ok to have a last minute freak out right ?? X

Yeah I went and had a tour that's why I am freaking out it all seems so huge and clinical if u get me and my smaller one it seems more like a hotel then a hospital I just feel like it is a much better option for me as iv always had a fear of hospitals and I just feel so much more comfortable in my local smaller hospital x

I was induced and had amazing one on one care in the delivery suite, couldn't fault it. I was also in a double room on the ward postnatally and I only had to share it for one night. X
