not baby related but need advice
So my 3 year old son is being potty trained, he has got peeing down packed he can do that all by himself, he is in strict underwear but he can't seem to make it to the potty to poop. I've tried everything possible, I've tried making potty time into a fun game, I've tried having a treasure box for when he does good..etc but nothing is working someone please help me im a stinking sinking ship lol. Any and all advice helps.
We are working on this right now too. My son wouldn't poop on the potty. Las night he started going in his underwear and I put him on the potty. He really tried to hold it in but we just sat there and I made up a new rendition of "let it go" about pooping. He got a kick out of it. I think it was kind of an accident, but he went on the potty. We went to dunkin donuts and picked out a donut. He went again this morning. I'm not sure what it was that made it click, but I know he was scared, but found out it wasn't so bad afterall. So far so good...
My daughter was afraid of her poop while in the pot. So we had to show her r poop (i know how that sould) but she wanted to be like us definitely her big sister n it worked. We told her will all have to go n this is where to put it. We all most give her a party when she got it done right.
My son wouldn't poop on the toilet. He would hold it in to the point where I would have to give him Miralax to help him out. That was pretty much when he decided that using the toilet was better than holding it in. Nothing I said or did helped. It just took that to make it click for him.
When I potty trained my son back in January ghat was what we had the hardest time with. Peeing was perfect but he would go up to his room & poop in his underwear then come downstairs and tell he pooped. Every time I would just take him in the bathroom & put him on the potty & tell him Everett big boys pee & pop here in the potty. We do not poop in our underwear. Took a few weeks & a lot of consistency but he got it. I think it took about 1 1/2-2 months to fully potty train him.
