Hello ladies!
I had a miscarriage 4 months ago and just found out I’m pregnant again(yay!!!) but last time I told my family immediately and had to tell them all about the miscarriage. I’m just wondering when you ladies would suggest that I should tell them? Or have any stories of when y’all told them about your rainbow babies.
Thank you ladies, I didn’t tell social media until I was 25 weeks with my son. So I don’t care too much about them knowing lol. My bestfriend already knows but she’s the only one besides dh. Just in case, I have some support if I don’t tell my family.
I would tell my closest family because if God forbid things don’t go as you expected you have support. If you are a private person and feel more comfortable letting them know when you know things are past the dangerous stage that’s fine too. Either way it’s up to you whatever makes you feel better. I know personally I’d share my joy with my loved ones. And congratulations!
I think I’ll tell my mother in law first before I tell anyone else lol but I’m not sure, I get a scan in two weeks, and if there’s a heart beat then, I’ll tell her.
I told my mom and dad right away! But they were the only ones as I had a miscarriage last year and I wanted to wait. We didnt tell my mother in law or any family until I was 20 weeks. We still have lots of family that dont know and I'm 27 weeks! Lol neither of us have social media so very few people know.
With my first pregnancy I was so good and didn't tell a soul apart from my SO until after we saw a healthy 12 week scan. That pregnancy still ended in a miscarriage a couple of days before my 20 week scan. So the second time I told close family right away because whats the point in holding off if it can still end badly at any time. Luckily it didn't and I now have a beautiful one year old daughter. Congrats on your rainbow ❤
Congratulations! We had also told our families early on that i was pregnant and then later had to tell everyone about the miscarriage. That was just awful. We waited until about 11 weeks to tell everyone the second time around. I had an ultrasound at 11 weeks & everything looked great, so we decided to tell everyone after that.
Yes everyone was supportive except my brothers girlfriend and my mom acts annoyed when I talk about my mc. But my husbands side were very supportive and understanding as well. I wanted to tell them already but my husband said we should wait until I’m further along.
OP, I was the same way! Sick every single day till the end. When I found out I was pregnant with this baby it was a couple weeks before Halloween and I was over at my grandmas every day working on our Halloween costumes. It was so hard keeping it under wraps. I kept saying I had food poisoning or we went out to eat for supper and whatever I ate made me sick. I even went as far to say I had another ovarian cyst that was about to burst and it was making me sick. Luckily she never found out till we told everyone.
Was your family and friends supportive during the miscarriage? My parents were very supportive but my MIL was not not. She just didn’t know how to handle the situation and I needed space to grieve. She also told family that didn’t even know about the pregnancy we had a miscarriage because she was so disappointed. So my parents knew about the rainbow baby right away but MIL and other close family didn’t until 12 week ultrasound. It was all about what I needed and my husband supported that. Social media and friends didn’t find out until 30+ weeks
I’m 25+4 and they just found out 2 weeks ago by accident. Lol we have more siblings to tell and they won’t find out till a few more weeks. This is our rainbow as well. Even now we still don’t want to tell anyone. No one knows how far along we are, when we’re due besides the fact that I’m obviously showing. They try and guess but I don’t confirm anything. We’re team yellow as well. ? social media won’t find out till months after baby, if that.
My SO and I have said we will not tell anyone until I am passed 12 weeks due to me having a miscarriage in the past. We live in Iowa, SO parents live here too. My Mom is in Texas and my Dad is in Arizona. My parents will be receiving a special gift to give them the news. It will be easier to give SO parents the news since they are local. But once they all know, then we will tell other close family members and close friends..
Thank you ladies, I had “morning sickness” throughout my entire pregnancy with my son and I’m only 4w 5 days and have been nauseous for a week. So I don’t know if anyone will pay attention to my symptoms besides my mom lol but I’m hoping I can keep it a secret until I’m at least in the second trimester.
I had an early miscarriage 2 summers ago and then got pregnant again 2 weeks later. I had told my family and close friends about the initial pregnancy and then I had to tell everyone that I had a MC and it made it so much harder to deal with. I decided to wait until I was 14 weeks pregnant to tell close friends and family for the next one. I didn't let DH announce the pregnancy on social media until after we had our 20 week ultrasound and made sure evrerything was looking good. I personally didn't want to have to go through having to tell everyone again if I lost that pregnancy too. You should do whatever you're comfortable with though!
My family found out 2 days by snooping after I found out. I was so upset and they even were spreading the news without me even telling them first. Ugh I wanted to wait for this reason you mention. I was only 7 weeks but to answer your question I'd wait till they notice from your symptoms or till the second trimester. That is how long I had planned to wait. I even felt uneasy about people wanting to buy things up until near the end of 2nd trimester
I told my family really early about my rainbow baby because I knew I would like thier support through both a pregnancy and a possible misscarriage and I appreciated the prayers and positive thoughts they all sent me during my pregnancy with my daughter but I avoided telling my SO family because they were not good supports through my miscarriage so I didnt tell them until 20 weeks with my daughter because then we could be pretty sure she was healthy and developing well and they reacted well and embraced the pregnancy and were excited about that pregnancy.
Hello ! My name is Teraysa and I recently just found out I’m pregnant 😊 but I’m only 18 and I’m super scared :( my biggest thing is I’m worried about a miscarriage !! #myfirstpost

Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

Literally wondering the same thing (not pregnant) but just mjscarrjed and told my parents immediately. I’ve been wondering if I become pregnant again when I would tell them. Curious to see what you ladies say!
